How do you get to the Anse Marron on La Digue?

Unfortunately, the authorities of the national parks and the local guides who work on the island of La Digue do not recommend the tourists to take the excursion alone here. This is because I was told that tourists are constantly saved after getting lost on the paths. The paths are also blocked with signs. So you would violate the law if you tried to come here yourself.

So I was told that I cannot give direct instructions on how I come here.

What she expected in Anse Marron

Anse Marron is by far one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Gentle, turquoise water is washed up by the white sandy beaches and large granite rocks form a protected, natural swimming pool.

Anse Marron is one of the best beaches for swimming. It is quite protected near the shore, but if you swim far out, it can be rough. When it is time to relax, the view of the endless sea behind it is breathtaking. I visited this place for sunset and I can tell you it was fantastic!

Due to the remote location, this spot is usually very quiet. If you make it here, you can say that you will definitely be away from the regular tourist hustle and bustle.

Spend the night on La Digue

la Digue is a fairly small island and you can get anywhere within 20-30 minutes. You will find many hotels on the west side of the island near the jetty, but only a few along the narrow coastal road on the mostly inhabited east side.

This three-star hotel is perfect as a mid-range option because the location is excellent-just a little outside the main quarter in a quiet street, which is close enough to the incredible beaches in the southwest and port. The employees are all very courteous and the breakfast buffet is great. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel even has a pool and a bar.

This location is great because they are near bicycle rows, snack shops and even supermarkets on the main street of La Digue. This is a great option when you visit La Digue with a small budget, while comfort and location still have a priority for you.
