Football stars train in Weimarer Land: Thuringia becomes the new DFB hotspot!
On October 8, 2025, the Weimarer Land golf resort in Thuringia will become the central training location for the German national soccer teams. The German Football Association (DFB) has signed a six-year contract that includes equipping the resort with several golf courses and a soccer training facility. The facility has two 18-hole and one 9-hole golf courses, making it a perfect place for players in various sports. The senior national team had already used the resort's facilities to prepare for the 2024 European Championship.

The area is home to some of the region's best golf courses, including Muirfield Golf Club, North Berwick Golf Club, Craigielaw Golf Club and Glen Golf Club.
Exclusive golf trips
Italy offers two impressive golf travel routes with the legendary Orient Express: The first route, “Northern Greens”, stretches from Rome via Brescia and Turin to Perugia and begins in May 2026. It includes a round at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club as well as green fees at other golf courses, fine dining and exclusive excursions. The second route, “Italian Swing”, leads from Rome to Apulia and starts in November 2025.
Cyprus, on the other hand, improves the Aphrodite Hills Resort with a modernized golf area, equipped with a Trackman system. The new academy building, which includes 28 tees and swing analysis studios, will be designed for golfers of all levels. Completion is planned for the near future.
