Option 2: Rent a motorcycle (independent)

For the independent discoverers, rent a bike in General Luna for between 250 and 350 pesos per day. In this way I explored a large part of Siargao during my visits.

The way to the Maasin River Siargao is simple and the streets on this route from General Luna are well maintained, paved and smooth on the entire route. The easiest way to get here is to simply enter the coordinates in the map below, which is exactly.

Where is the Maasin river?

The Maasin River is located on the Siargao CircumFerential Road. It is about 18 kilometers from General Luna, which should take about 25 minutes if you drive independently. You will know when you are in the right place when you reach the famous red bridge over the Maasin River.

stop here and look to the left. You can see the famous curved palm and the Siargao swing only a small piece up the river. Here in Maasin you can park your bike for free

Entry fee: 20 PHP

You can walk on Siargao on the banks of the Maasin river towards the curved palm. However, you have to pay an entry fee of 20 PHP to use the swing. This fee must be paid per person, but can be used as often as you like.

There is also an iconic bamboo raft and sometimes you also meet a friendly man with a small rudder boat. Locals offer you to take photos with the raft for 20 PHP, and the man offers excursions further up to a secret blue lagoon for 500 PHP.

The Siargao swing on the Maasin River is really fun. It's not a big drop, but it is the picturesque environment that makes it so popular. The river is lined with dense, tropical palm trees, which provide quite a scene.
