About Salagdoong Beach

Entrance fee: 30 PHP

Parking fee: PHP 20

The first thing you want to know is that Salagdoong Beach is a privately owned beach. This area of Siquijor is managed by Salagdoong Beach Resort (Hotel Agripino). Therefore, you have to pay a fee to enjoy this Siquijor beach.

However, it's worth it once you discover how amazing this place is on the eastern tip of Siquijor!

Highlights of Salagdoong Beach include:

  • 2x tolle Klippensprünge
  • Eine Wasserrutsche
  • Entspannender Strand
  • Tolles Schnorcheln

Salagdoong Beach location

As mentioned, Salagdoong Beach is located on the eastern tip of Siquijor Island in the Philippines. You can find it near the town of Maria. There is a short stretch of forest road called Salagdoong Forest that leads to the beach.

The forest section is accessible via the Siquijor Circumferential Road, which spans the island.

Below is the exact location of Salagdoong Beach to help you find it.

How do I get here?

Before we get into all the epic cliff jumping at Salagdoong Beach, let's break down the logistics of getting here.

You have two main options: a guided tour or traveling on your own.

Option 1: Best Siquijor Island Tour (Including Salagdoong Beach)

If you're short on time or just want to see the best highlights of Siquijor, including a visit to Cambugahay Falls and the incredible Salagdoong Beach, then it might be a good idea to book a tour.

Note that you can try your luck finding a guide in San Juan. Or, if you are still in Dumaguete, then the one below is definitely the best you will find. It has hundreds of bookings and a 4.9/5 star rating on Siquijor.

This trip includes:

This trip is really affordable and can actually be cheaper than doing things independently when you are in Dumaguete.

Option 2: Independent option

For those of you who are already on Siquijor and plan to stay a few days to explore the island and then explore Salagdoong Beach, it is by far best to rent your own motorbike.

This way you can also see some of the other highlights like Lagaan Falls and Cambugahay Falls!

You can get one in the main tourist center of San Juan for 250-350 pesos per day. The drive from San Juan to the beach typically takes 45 minutes on the Circumferential Road. The final stretch is through the forest which is very scenic and the canopy is a nice break from the sun!

If you don't want to rent a bike, you can always take a tricycle taxi to Salagdoong Beach. However, be sure to exchange at a fair price.

What to Expect at Salagdoong Beach Siquijor

Once you arrive you will find a large clearing with plenty of space to exit your park. You will see a small hut where you can sign your name and country and pay the fees for your bike and entrance ticket.

From here, head down to the white sands of Salagdoong Beach where the adventure truly begins!

The epic cliff jump

The highlight for me during my visit to Salagdoong Beach Siquijor are the two great concrete diving boards. You will find these on the small headland that protrudes from the bay.

There are two boards, one at about 5 meters or 16 feet and the larger one at about 10 meters or 32 feet.

The water underneath is sufficiently deep. But saying that, I would probably still do my best to time the tide just in case! It's also good practice to do depth tests wherever you do cliff jumping!

The water below is a beautiful turquoise color. You'll see large schools of fish swimming around and healthy coral reefs covering the ocean floor.

Slippery slide on Salagdoong beach

The other highlight is of course this great blue slide. Unfortunately this wasn't running when I visited, but otherwise I would have loved to try it out!

The white sandy shores

After all that cliff diving, the best thing to do at Salagdoong Beach is simply relax on its shores. You can also rent snorkeling equipment, floats and SUPs directly from the resort.

Where to stay in Siquijor

The main tourist center on Siquijor is known as San Juan. However, there are also several guesthouses, hostels and resorts scattered across the island. Below I give you the three best options for accommodation in Siquijor to plan your trip.
