However, this is worth it as soon as you discover how great this place is on the eastern tip of Siquijor!

Salagdoong Beach Lage

As already mentioned, Salagdoong Beach is located on the eastern tip of the island of Siquijor in the Philippines. You will find it near the city of Maria. There is a short piece of forest road called Salagdoong Forest, which leads to the beach.

The forest section can be reached via the Siquijor CircumFerential Road, which spans the island.

Below is the exact location of the Salagdoong beach to help you with the search.

How do I get here

Before we deal with all the epic cliff jumps on the Salagdoong Beach, let us broke the logistics for the way here.

You have two main options: a guided tour or the journey on your own.

Option 1: Best Siquijor-Inseltour (including Salagdoong Beach)

If you have little time or just want to see the best highlights from Siquijor, including a visit to the Cambugahay Falls and the incredible Salagdoong Beach, it may be a good idea to book a tour.

Note that you can try your luck to find a guide in San Juan. Or, if you are still in Dumaguete, then the one below is definitely the best you will find. It has hundreds of bookings and an assessment of 4.9/5 stars on Siquijor.

This trip includes:

  • collection/return from/to the hotel in Dumaguete
  • private tour around the island of Siquijor
  • Return trip by ferry included
  • history tour with a visit to the centuries of churches
  • dive into the turquoise water of the Cambugahay Falls and see the famous, over 400 year old Balete-Baum
  • end the day in the famous Triad Cafe with a view of Negros

This trip is really affordable and can actually be cheaper than doing things independently when they are in Dumaguete.

Option 2: Independent option

For those among them who are already on Siquijor and plan to stay a few days to explore the island and then explore the beach of Salagdoong, it is vicinately best to rent your own motorcycle.

In this way you can also see some of the other highlights such as the Lagaan Falls and the Cambugahay Falls!

You can get one in the main tourist center of San Juan for 250-350 pesos per day. The journey from San Juan to the beach usually lasts 45 minutes on the CircumFerential Road. The last piece leads through the forest, which is very attractive, and the canopy is a nice break from the sun! Alt = “Siquijor-Motorrad”>
If you don't want to rent a bicycle, you can take a tricycle taxi to the Salagdoong beach at any time. However, make sure to exchange at a fair price.

go down to the white sandy beaches of Salagdoong Beach, where the adventure really begins!

The epic cliff jump

The highlight for me when I visited the Salagdoong Beach Siquijor are the two great jumping boards made of concrete. You can find them on the small headland that protrudes from the bay.

There are two boards, one at about 5 meters or 16 feet and the larger one at about 10 meters or 32 feet.

The water below is sufficiently deep. But if I say that, I would probably still do my best to bring the flood to all cases! It is also a good exercise to carry out deep tests wherever you do cliff jumping!

The water below has a beautiful turquoise tone. You see large swimming of fish swimming and healthy coral reefs that cover the sea floor.

slippery slide on the beach of Salagdoong

The other highlight is of course this great blue slide. Unfortunately, this didn't go when I visited it, but otherwise I would have liked to try it!

The white sand coasts

After all the cliff jumping, the best thing you can do on the beach of Salagdoong is to relax on your banks. You can also rent snorkeling equipment, swimmers and SUPs directly in the resort.
