While Siargao is known for epic surf spots, it is also an adventure playground with incredible tropical islands. One of the best ways to experience this incredible place is a Siargao island-hopping tour from General Luna. In this guide I will show you how to do this without paying too much!

On island hopping in Siargao

All island shopping tours in Siargao are carried out on Longtail boom motor boats called Banka’s.

The three main islands that you visit on a Siargao island hinge tour are: Daku Island, Naked Island and Guyam Island. These tropical islands are right off the coast of General Luna and can be reached very quickly.

There are many tour operators who are very concerned about selling a tour. But unfortunately there are some Hit and Miss (more details why below).

The good news is that the cheapest and most reliable tour can be booked online. The price is the same as the one who is offered to you by the sellers in General Luna (always cheaper than the first offer).

As a bonus, this trip also includes pickup, return and a hearty lunch on the island!

Siargao Island Hopping Rates-The Best Package

As expected, tours on Siargao are very affordable. However, do not make the mistake of paying too much!

The updated prices for island hopping in Siargao are around $ 20 to $ 25 for a day trip. However, the average price on the street usually begins at around $ 30 to $ 35, which you then have to negotiate.

The recommended trip (above) that I booked costs $ 23 and includes:

  • rental of snorkeling equipment
  • Hearty lunch

Another thing you should look for are quality boats. Unfortunately there are some boats on Siargao that offer island hopping that really shouldn't be in the water! The last thing you want is an engine damage that ruins your trip.

Alternative: For those who are in a large group, you can rent a private island hopping out for around 1500 pesos with a boat and driver for the day. This does not include lunch, a guide or any equipment.

Siargao Island Hopping Tour-what to expect

Leave us in immersion after the logistics is cleared out what you can expect from an epic siargao island hopping adventure to Daku Island, Naked Island and Guyam Island!

Stop 1: Insel Guyam

The first stop for us was Guyam Island. You can circle this tiny piece of earth in about 3 minutes! It is almost a perfect round shape, with a field of coconut palms in the middle and white sandy beaches around its edge.

There is a tiny small hut inside the island of Guyam. Here you can buy a coconut for 50 pesos. The coconut palms donate perfect shadows when the day gets warmer!

We spent about an hour on Guyam, swam in the crystal clear water, snorkeled on the hem reef and lazy on the beach.

Guyam Island is an incredible private oasis and just my favorite on this Siargao island hinge tour!

Stop 2: naked island

The second stop of our Siargao island hinge tour is Naked Island. This is a sand island without plants. A cute coral reef stretches around his edge, which extends over a hundred meters before a sharp slope.

naked Island is about 90 meters long and although there may not be much to see, their simplicity is what this kind of island is really about! We spent another hour on Naked Island with swimming, snorkeling and just relaxing on the sandy beaches.

naked Island is great for drone shots. So if you have one, definitely bring it with you. When your Siargao island-hopping tour is visited by Naked Island to complete the day, then you are lucky, because I also saw some epic sunset photos from the air from here!

Stop 3: Island Daku

The last island that we visited in Siargao while hopping island was Daku Island. This is the largest island in front of General Luna and it is the most going on. As you can expect from a Siargao island, there are many palm trees and crystal-clear blue water.

We were offered a lunch on the island of Daku, which was a large selection of fresh fruits, fish, rice and vegetable dishes. We all gathered on the beach and ate a bamboo hut.

At the end of our Siargao island hinge, we climbed on a few coconut palms and have harvested a handful. Then we exchanged our prey for a maker-swinging locals for opening one of ours.

I am sure you will be absolutely carved by Daku Island! While I selected Guyam as my favorite, Daku was just in second place!

Tips and interesting facts for island hopping in Siargao

Before you go on Siargao island hopping, here are a few tips that you may want to know.

  • The online booking offers the most competitive prices for reliable tours.
  • Pack a hat and riff -safe sunscreen - it gets hot out there!
  • don't step on corals, that kills you!
  • bring a towel with you because you will be in and outside the water all day.
  • ask your tour guide to bring you to Naked Island if possible.
  • A private boat is a good choice if you have a large group, but make sure you pack your own lunch!
  • on Guyam and Daku Island you can buy snacks
  • Plan your trip in good weather! I use accuweather.
