Location of the tumalog Falls on Cebu

Tumalog Fall is located in the municipality of Oslob on Cebu. Due to its proximity, many people combine a visit to this waterfall with the very popular WALHAI tour.

The wider community is known as Barangay Luka and is located near the popular tourist center and the WALHAI operations.

Arrival to the Tumalog waterfall

The best way to get to the tumalog if if you go with a motorcycle or tricycle to the parking lot of the tumalog. If you come from Oslob, you should expect a 20-minute drive to the parking lot.

From the main coastal road, the road branches off the hills on a short drive, which is known as a tumalog Falls Road. I marked the location of the parking lot on the map below.

As soon as you have reached the parking lot, you will undoubtedly be asked by several locals to bring them down the hill to reach the Tumalog waterfall on a motorcycle. If you want to go on foot, you only need about 15 minutes downhill to the foot of the waterfall.

Tumalog if - what to expect

As soon as you have arrived at the foot of the hill, see a small ticket office. To get access to the waterfall area, you must pay an entry fee of 20 peso per person. This fee goes to the municipality of Oslob and pays for the maintenance and environmental protection of the waterfall.

Tumalog Falls is actually the second most popular waterfall in Cebu. However, this is more due to the situation than the size of the waterfall.

Nevertheless, it is still an epic waterfall for swimming or relaxing on hot days. The maximum height of the waterfall is about 100 meters. As already mentioned, there is no thunderous current, but rather a gentle trickle along a wide, moss -covered wall.

The waterfall is surrounded by lush jungle vegetation and steep limestone rocks. There are also some scattered rocks around the main swimming hole.

It is ideal for swimming, but is not as deep as some of the other waterfalls in Cebu. To compensate for the flat pool, the locals have built a number of rocks and a concrete path along the shore to absorb deeper water.

What can you do at the waterfall This South Cebu?

Tumalog if it is clearly a great place for swimming or generally relaxing. There are also some small rock formations to explore.

Although the waterfall is the highlight, I found the path down to the waterfall quite epic. From the tip of the hill you have a good view of the waterfall. If you look outside, you can also see the dense jungle inside Cebu.

Tips for visiting the Tumalog waterfall

If you want to save money, the path from the parking lot is pretty easy. However, if you do not feel the way back, your money is probably better spent on paying a local who drives you up the hill.

Since tumalog is so close to the nearby Walhai operations, it is definitely advisable to come here early. When we arrived around 8 a.m., we were the only ones at the waterfall. However, this changed quickly about an hour later after everyone came directly from the Walhai swimming.

Remember to always take garbage or waste with you. To help keep Cebu clean, why not collect a few increased karma points and take a few pieces with you.
