TUI Cruises surprised: The popular port of Rönne is no longer available!

TUI Cruises is changing the timetables for two of its popular cruise ships, “Mein Schiff 1” and “Mein Schiff 7”. In 2025, the Danish port of Rönne on the island of Bornholm will no longer be served, which is due to a communication from the port authorities informing the shipping company of the port's unavailability. The adjustments affect a total of four cruises, which will now head to alternative ports in Denmark and Sweden.

The departures of “Mein Schiff 1” on July 3rd and August 1st and of “Mein Schiff 7” on May 18th and June 11th, 2025 are particularly affected. In order to replace the canceled stop in Rönne, “Mein Schiff 1” will call at the port of Aarhus on July 4th, 2025. The August voyage heads to Skagen instead of Rönne, while Mein Schiff 7's short trips add a new stop in Karlskrona, Sweden, a first for the destination.

Details about the new routes

Specific adjustments have been made for the affected trips. The “Summer Dreams” trip of “Mein Schiff 1” will run from July 3rd to 13th, 2025 from Kiel via Aarhus, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm back to Kiel. In August, Skagen will also be served in addition to the destinations Gdansk, Klaipeda and Copenhagen.

The following route changes are known for “Mein Schiff 7”: The trips from May 18th and June 11th, 2025 now include trips from Kiel via Visby to Karlskrona and back. A tender service will ensure that passengers disembark in Karlskrona.

TUI Cruises has already informed all affected passengers about the upcoming changes. The shipping company emphasizes that the new destinations offer attractive alternatives and that the adjustments do not affect other TUI Cruises cruises, such as the routes of “Mein Schiff 3”.

The adjustments are being responded to with a positive attitude, as the new port cities promise interesting experiences and excursions. The decision to make these changes was made to still provide travelers with an unforgettable experience at sea, even if Rönne is no longer on the schedule.
