10 countries for breathtaking photo iron

We choose 10 countries that are perfect for photo iron

I never get bored when I always have my camera with me. During my trips through 80 countries to six continents, I had the honor to photograph some of the most breathtaking prospects that the world has to offer.

Every country that I visit devour gigabyte storage space on my (s) hard drive (s) and hours (if not days and weeks) of my life to curate and edit images after the trip. I have been selling my photography for over five years and can see that some pictures from some countries are always sought.

I selected my top 10 countries for breathtaking photo trips based on what is continuously sold and what is even more important to me when I was really fun. I could always visit and take pictures of the countries below. Some of them, I do.

1. Chile

Here in Chile you are spoiled for choice. For breathtaking landscapes on the mainland you have the beautiful Lake District, the south coast spent by fjords and the Atacama desert.

There are also the rugged peaks of Patagonia and the bleak landscape of Tierra del Fuego. The crowning of the whole is Chile Jewel in the crown: the Easter Island. This remote habitat is located in the middle of the Pacific thousands of kilometers off the coast of the mainland. I challenge you: just try to take a bad photo there.

2. India

I visited India twice and still hardly scratched the surface of the country. I ignore the photogenic landmarks of the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Jaipur and the Taj Mahal) for a second and choose the hinterland of Rajasthan.

I loved to photograph the lively colors and to inspire the people in the market cities in Bhilwara and Chittorgarh. Drive north to the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains to see another contrasting side of the photogenic India.

3. Scotland

I don't care what someone says, Scotland is the most beautiful country I've ever visited on a clear day. On average, I visit at least once a year and I hope that I will never stop. The Western Highlands, Cairngorms, Shetland and the Western Isles are just fantastic.

Even in the middle of winter, these extensive mountain chains are breathtaking and almost looking to snow. The only trick here is to find a clear day. I remember a Wednesday morning in summer 2008 that was pretty good ...

4. Jordan

Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordan are the dream of every photographer. Both travel destinations enjoy a blue sky almost all year round, which contrasts with desert yellow and orange, which makes them perfect for the recording of beautiful landscapes.

Add enchanting purple sunsets and you have a perfect formula. The photos I took here have been my bestsellers for years. Only be careful if you change the lentils in the middle of the whole sand!

5. Norway

alt = "photo iron norway">

one of my favorite places in the world. After two visits to Norway, I intend to keep returning. So far I can guarantee the western fjords around Bergen and the rugged snow-covered peaks of the Jotunheim National Park.

Next I hope to continue north to take pictures of the northern lights within the Arctic Circle. I just have to persuade Kia to defy the cold again after our failed attempt to see the lights in Iceland.

6. Tanzania

The picture book island of Zanzibar alone would be worth a place on this list. Add the unique panorama of the Kilimanjaro, which rises over the African levels underneath, and you already have an extremely photogenic goal.

I personally loved to screw up my zoom lens and do a safari to really get the best out of the photo tours in Tanzania. The Serengeti, the Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire are all spectacular places to photograph wild animals.

7. USA

The national parks of the western states of Arizona, Utah, California and Nevada are unforgettable goals for photographers.

We spent 10 days on a road trip through the Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion and Death Valley national parks and captured a number of photographic jewels. Each park has its own colors, which often stand in front of bright blue sky and a unique topography.

8. Ecuador

alt = "photo iron-ecador">

No matter whether it is up close animal photography of the Galápagos Islands, long exposure of lavish waterfalls or impressive shots of the sunset behind volcanoes, Ecuador is rarely disappointed. I personally loved it to adjust my aperture to 3.5 and to make close-ups of wild animals against a soft background on the Galápagos Islands.

9. Egypt

Egypt is pretty much an open -air museum. We spent about 10 days to move steadily along the Niltal, but they could easily create 10 weeks, there is so much to see.

All photo tours should of course start in Cairo with the pyramids of Giza, but there is so much more to see and take. Behind Jordan, my photography from Egypt has been selling well since our visit in 2011.

10. Tahiti and French-Polynesia

alt = “Fotoneisen-Tahiti-French-Polynesia”>

We only visited the social islands of French Polynesia, but were not disappointed with what we saw. The islands meet their prospectus image with white sandy beaches, turquoise water and lush interior.

Tahiti, Mo’orea, Ra’iaTea and Taha’a impressed everyone, but it was (rather stereotypical) Bora Bora, which steel the show. Get on the water and look back on the outrageously azure lagoon to really capture this postcard recording. Your only challenge is to find a place where you cannot see any of the resorts by your viewfinder.
