I dedicated this post to share some photos of Whitehaven Beach. Whitehaven Beach is a 7 km long sandy beach on the east coast of Whitsunday Island, Queensland, Australia.

He is generally considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This is due to its unique, pearl white sand and the crystal clear water. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time in the Whitsununds on my sailing trip on the east coast, which made it possible for me to take pictures of this true Australian icon of the sea, sky and sand.

Arrival to Whitehaven Beach

Since Whitehaven is on an island, you need to take a ferry, a boat or a plane to get there. There are ferry companies that transport people from Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island every day.

Since it can be reached quite far from the mainland, the journey here costs between $ 140 and $ 230.

If you are in Airlie, I strongly recommend booking a trip with Thunder Cat that is one of the most popular and fastest ways to get there. It is also one of the most cost -effective options to get to Whitehaven Beach, since the trip also includes the following:

When is the best time to travel for Whitehaven Beach? The best month to visit Whitehaven Beach is September. This is due to higher water temperatures, warm days and the slightest amount of precipitation.

However, it is possible to visit Whitehaven Beach all year round. The high season for sailing and cruise on the Whitsunday Islands is between May and September.
