A world tour full of challenges: A couple discovers hospitality
Oliver Schenzielorz and his girlfriend Maddie have fulfilled a dream: they are traveling from Australia to Europe for a year and are currently in Turkey, the eleventh country on their adventurous trip. They began their adventure with three panniers and no concrete idea of the challenges ahead.
As the Swabian reports that they had formative experiences on this trip. Challenging parts included a three-month period of diarrhea and overcoming fears in unfamiliar lands. At the same time, they experienced impressive highlights such as driving on Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world, as well as the Laotian New Year and the streets of Manang in Nepal.
Kindness and hospitality
A central element of their journey was the people they met. They experienced remarkable kindness and hospitality throughout, which helped them better understand the differences in cultures. According to Maddie and Oliver, the world was not just a collection of countries, but a place full of welcoming people. In this context, a quote from Thor Heyerdahl stands out: "Borders? I've never seen one."
The stories and experiences collected are so diverse that the couple is already planning to share them in the form of personal presentations in Germany. The first presentations have already been decided:
- 25. Juni im Gemeindehaus Bergerhausen, Biberach, 17 Uhr (Präsentation: 18 Uhr).
- 29. Juni im Sportheim im Donaustadion, Riedlingen, 13 Uhr (Präsentation: 16 Uhr).
- 30. Juni in der Mühlbachhalle, Dieterskirch, 17 Uhr (Präsentation: 18 Uhr).
For many people, traveling around the world is a lifelong dream that allows them to experience different cultures and discover breathtaking landscapes. The blog Trusted Blogs describes how such a trip not only expands personal boundaries, but also leads to unforgettable encounters. Benefits include cultural diversity, awe-inspiring natural wonders, and the emotional journey of self-discovery.
Many travelers report stimulating experiences from lively markets in Morocco to quiet temples in Japan. The challenges and associated fears that are overcome contribute significantly to personal growth. With this in mind, Oliver and Maddie have also collected countless memories that they now want to share with the world, including via their social media channels “tilly2wheels”.
The trip not only strengthened their view of the world, but also their relationships with one another. They have learned a lot about themselves and agree that the difficulties of their journey are just as important as the beautiful moments.
