As most of our readers will know, in August 2014 we quit our jobs in publishing and teaching and left the concrete streets of London for our first trip around the world.

After years of exploring, we thought we knew everything there was to know about long-term travel. But somehow we still got “offered papaya” in Colombia, got weird tummies in Tonga, fell off our bikes in Bora Bora, and collapsed in Bolivia (in more ways than one).
