Having just moved to the area and started exploring the Yorkshire Dales in earnest, we thought it appropriate to share some of the wider landscape the Dales has to offer.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park (YDNP) was designated in 1954 and expanded by 24% in 2016 to a total of 2,178 km2. YDNP is famous for having some of the UK's most beautiful limestone landscapes with cliffs, walkways and caves set in extensive moorland with rolling hills and dramatic waterfalls, all interspersed with miles of dry stone walls and picturesque villages.

The park attracts over 3.5 million visitors each year who want to explore the beautiful landscape, whether on foot, by bike or kayak – to name just a few of the options available. With this in mind, we've put together a selection of the best views in the Yorkshire Dales.
