Roman Kemp reveals his top city breaks for fall!
Roman Kemp, the well-known podcaster, presenter and former radio DJ, has established himself as an ambassador for Marriott Bonvoy. In this role, he encourages Brits to use their loyalty program points to book travel. After leaving Capital Radio in 2024, Kemp plans to travel the world and has been named a “Guru of the Escape” by Marriott Bonvoy to inspire travelers to explore new destinations. They can use not only Marriott Bonvoy points, but also Nectar points earned from shopping to travel to enhance their vacation experiences. 112.ua reported that these points can be earned when shopping at stores such as Sainsbury’s and Argos.
The idea of linking Brits' travel habits with their shopping habits has led Marriott Bonvoy and Nectar to launch a partnership. Loud Marriott press area 41% of Brits spend as much time planning their weekly shop as they do planning their holiday destinations. A recent survey shows that eating habits play an important role in the choice of travel destinations. For example, 60% of bakery lovers prefer city trips, while 62% of cheese and sausage lovers look for luxurious vacations.
Rome tips for city trips
Kemp has visited several cities himself and highlights Madrid as one of his favorite destinations. A stylish ambience with great restaurants and flamenco particularly stands out. Cheap flights to Madrid start at just £21, and a small beer costs from €2.50 (£2.16). He also plans to visit Barcelona once the new stadium is ready, as well as traveling to Bruges to watch a football match. Kemp also emphasizes the importance of short trips to local cities.
He describes Iceland as the most beautiful country he has ever seen and raves about the natural beauty of the landscape and the mountains. He was also impressed by South Korea, finding it exciting and rich in history. During a stay in South Korea he even got recognized in the DMZ.
Vacation bucket list
Kemp has ambitious plans, including a trip to Antarctica and a visit to the Christmas markets, particularly in Munich. He also knows the best pubs in London and recommends the Duke of Edinburgh in Brixton as the best beer garden for relaxing hours and good drinks.
There are also incentives for travelers who link their Marriott Bonvoy and Nectar accounts: new members who sign up through Nectar will receive 500 bonus Nectar points and 500 additional points on their next three hotel stays, according to OnePoll research conducted with 2,000 UK participants in August 2025.
