Lam Dong presents itself in Taiwan: Da Lat as a new travel package!
A business delegation from Lam Dong Province represents Vietnam at a tourism exchange and outreach program in Taiwan. The delegation includes representatives from Vietnam Airlines as well as ten tourism companies from Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa and is accompanied by over 50 tourism companies and press representatives from Taiwan. Participating Lam Dong companies include Dalat Wonder Resort, Lam Dong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Ladophar), Lam Dong Tourism Joint Stock Company (Dalattourist) and Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa.
The program aims to study tourism products and services, organize roadshow programs in the cities of Taipei and Kaohsiung, and increase the profile of Da Lat as a new and attractive destination for Taiwanese visitors. Here, Lam Dong is highlighted as a significant point on the international tourism map, seeking closer cooperation with Taiwan.
Tourism potential in Taiwan
With Taiwan as Vietnam's third-largest international tourism market, approximately 1.28 million Taiwanese visitors are expected in 2024, an increase of 51% compared to 2023. Lam Dong is expected to receive over 6,500 Taiwanese visitors in 2024. This puts Lam Dong in 6th place behind established markets such as Korea, the USA, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
The main aim of the delegation is to develop the Northeast Asian and Taiwanese tourism market and strengthen the role of Lam Dong's tourism industry. This initiative aims not only to present new tourism products and promotion programs, but also to deepen existing cooperation agreements.
Da Lat as a popular destination
The city of Da Lat in Lam Dong Province is known for its beautiful scenery and mild climate all year round.
