Vietnamese bodybuilding championship: 300 athletes in action!

Kathmandu, Nepal - On May 28, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 32nd National Club Championship in Bodybuilding took place in Vietnam. This event, which runs from May 27th to 31st, provides for 300 athletes from 20 bodybuilding clubs. Competitions are held in over 40 categories, including men's and women's bodybuilding, mixed double as well as fitness and athletic building. The aim of the championship is to promote both talented athletes and to enable professional exchange.

The award of the Vietnamese Bodybuilding team with the first class working medal was particularly gratifying and the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism. These honors honor the important contributions of the trainers and athletes for the Vietnamese sport in 2024.

Focus of the championships

The national youth bodybuilding championship 2025 is also planned as part of the championship, which will take place from June 2 to 4. Here 9 sports delegations and 120 young athletes from various provinces and cities will take part in measuring their skills in 24 disciplines and discovering new talents.

The preparations for the current competitions were carried out against the background of a successful year for Vietnamese bodybuilder. At the 55th Asian bodybuilding and fitness championship, which took place on September 4, 2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Vietnamese athletes achieved remarkable success. In a strong participant environment, with 236 athletes from 17 countries, they fought three gold medals and several other medals in other categories.

among the gold medal winners was Bui Dac Phi VU, who triumphed up to 55 kg in the men's category. He prevailed against Suresh Duwal from Nepal and Azri Win Asmat Sefri from Malaysia. Tran Thi Thanh Tam and Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong also won gold in the women's categories Fitness Physique up to 165 cm or over 165 cm. Overall, the Vietnamese team also achieved a silver and three bronze medals.

The Vietnamese bodybuilders not only show remarkable achievements at the national level, but also shine internationally and consolidate the call of Vietnam in bodybuilding sport.
