What you can expect at the Labuan Bajo Sunset Hill

As soon as you arrive, you will find that there are actually a few hills you can climb to watch the sunset. You have the opportunity to go up the small hill that I marked at the top, or alternatively cross the street and climb the higher hill, which is known as "Bukit Amelia Sea".

Whichever sunset outside view point you like, both will reward the sunset hunters with a spacious view of the small port city and a great view of the islands in the distance.

These hills are quite strange and are referred to by the locals as the “teletubby hill”. When you arrive, you will undoubtedly determine why. The hills in this area are far from the rugged jura sticks by Komodo and Padar Island. Instead, you get gentle, sloping hills that roll into the sea.

I mentioned this place in other blogs. The Seaesta Hostel is an epic sunset place that is located on the hill behind the harbor and overlooks Labuan Bajo and the distant comodo islands. The atmosphere here is crazy, with a pool, bar, a gym and a restaurant.

This place really blew me away. I am not even paid for writing this - it is really one of the coolest hostels in Asia and undoubtedly one of the best places to observe the sunset in Labuan Bajo. You also don't have to stay here to visit it, the staff is friendly and satisfied with the fact that you only buy a drink or something to eat.

Bajo bakery on the roof

During my short time in Labuan Bajo, my favorite place was to work and chill on the roof of the Bajo Bakery. This place is strategically cheap near the waterfront, directly in the center of the city.

Ciao hostel

Another great place for the sunset in Labuan Bajo is the Ciao Hostel. Ciao is located on a hill with a view of the city. Where to spend the night in Labuan Bajo-accommodation leader

Where I stayed: Ciao hostel. In terms of hostels, this is one of the best I found in Indonesia. Everything is super clean, it includes free Transport to the airport or in the city and is located on the hill over Labuan Bajo. In my opinion, this view of the sunset of Labuan Bajo from the balcony is worth the money and one of the best places to watch the sunset in the city!

Best Hostel in Indonesia - Seaesta Hosteleselhst If you don't stay here, a visit to the Seaesta hostel in Labuan Bajo is a must. This place is crazy! It has an incredible roof bar and a pool, a fully air -conditioned gym and super comfortable berths with thick mattresses. Although we didn't stay here, we decided to spend a lot of time here, relax and work by the pool.

cheap double bunk - Siola Hotelmeine second accommodation in Labuan Bajo was the Siola Hotel. This is super simple and more suitable for price -conscious travelers. If you are a couple, this is the cheapest double bed you can find in Labuan Bajo. For $ 9 you get a double bed right next to the night market and the harbor, free breakfast and a private bunk with bamboo door.
