Lai Chau: Ecotourism is blooming - A paradise for adventure seekers!

Lai Chau Province in Vietnam is increasingly in the focus of tourism, especially the municipality of Tan Uyen. This region, known for its impressive 1,400 hectares of ancient tea plantations and stunning Hua Cuom terraced fields, has become a destination for sustainable ecotourism. A group of tourists from Bac Ninh Province recently visited Tan Uyen and explored the various offerings and attractions of this unique region, reports Vietnam.vn.

Mr Nguyen Tuan Duong, a community representative, highlighted the beautiful nature and great potential for community tourism in Tan Uyen. Party Committee Secretary Mr. Duong Dinh Duc informed about a special resolution on agriculture and tourism development. The aim of this resolution is to award the OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products in Tan Uyen with three or more stars and increase the income of those involved by at least 20%.

Sustainable tourism on the rise

In recent years, Lai Chau has seen an increase in tourism, welcoming over five million visitors last year, including nearly a million international travelers. Cultural tourism, which is closely linked to the region's green landscapes, plays a central role in the attractiveness of Lai Chau. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also plans to develop Tan Uyen as a multi-dimensional ecotourism area that also includes sports activities.

In Tan Uyen, tourists have the opportunity to explore the beautiful natural landscape, bathe in hot mineral springs and take part in traditional cultural festivals. Lai Chau now has nearly 140 accommodation establishments and more than 150 standard restaurants, meeting the needs of the growing number of tourists.
