Agritourism in Hiep Thanh: Black grapes conquer the region!

The development of agritourism in Hiep Thanh, Vietnam shows significant progress reflected in both the community and the economy. The Bong Lai Farm in particular has established itself as a model example of a successful agritourism project. This project focuses on the cultivation of black grapes, recognized with a 3-star OCOP certification at the end of 2024. The farm's success has made it an official agritourism destination, meaning visitors can not only explore the picturesque landscape but also learn about modern farming practices and purchase certified agricultural products.

The local population plays a central role: farmers act as “tour guides” on the farm and offer visitors an authentic insight into agricultural life. The aim of this initiative is to create a sustainable consumption channel that increases the incomes of the local community. Hiep Thanh has the potential to promote various types of tourism including ecotourism, agricultural tourism and cultural tourism. This diverse approach is intended to create not only economic but also cultural and humanistic values.

Strategic Tourism Development Program

A program for the development of rural tourism has been designed for the period from 2025 to 2030. This plans to create connections to rural tourism at a total of nine locations. Particular attention will be paid to digitalization, with plans for 50% of rural tourism sites to be digitalized. The program also aims to provide comprehensive training for at least 80% of rural tourism workers.

Another important aspect of the program is the investment in the development of tourist attractions and infrastructure. Special stands are provided for the presentation and sale of high-quality agricultural products. The active participation of local communities is considered crucial to the successful implementation of these solutions.

Overall, the development and commitment to projects like Bong Lai Farm shows how agritourism can drive not only economic but also cultural revitalization of the region. The focus on the sustainable use of resources promises a promising future for Hiep Thanh in the field of tourism and agricultural products.
