Bayrischzell 2025: Stable finances and major investments planned!

The municipality of Bayrischzell is financially well positioned for 2025. Treasurer Sandra Sieber presented the budget to the local council, which includes both the administrative budget and the property budget. The administrative budget amounts to around 6.2 million euros, while the asset budget amounts to 4.1 million euros. Mayor Georg Kittenrainer praised the treasurer for reducing the interest burden and the positive financial development.

The municipal council voted unanimously for the budget statutes and the financial plan, which underpins the municipality's viable financial situation. Trade tax represents a strong source of income. 1.38 million euros are forecast for 2024, while around 1.1 million euros are expected for 2025. This stable income and a reduced district levy of 1.1 million euros enable the municipality to create additional financial flexibility. A total of 276,836 euros more is available than in the previous year.

Important investments

A focus in the asset budget is the expansion of broadband provision. 869,500 euros have been budgeted for the fiber optic connection. Other significant investments include a new vehicle for the construction yard costing around 340,000 euros as well as projects in the spa park, on hiking trails, in the swimming pool, on the cross-country ski trail and in the sewage treatment plant. The planning costs for the sewage treatment plant are 350,000 euros, and the total costs of the renovation are estimated at 6.3 million euros.

The municipality will continue to carry out all mandatory functions, including water supply and primary school. A new paper cabinet is planned to be purchased for the school, and the fire department will receive support with digital radio and the purchase of a quad bike.

Financial development and debt levels

Overall, the debt level will rise to around five million euros, mainly due to reallocations via BayernGrund. These financial measures are taking place despite an interest saving of 3.3 percentage points. The administrative budget grows by 5.88 percent, which is due to rising personnel, electricity and insurance costs. Interestingly, the reserve is stated at 282,750 euros, which supports the municipality's stable financial framework.

The trade tax assessment rate remains unchanged at 380 for 2025, which underlines the continued clarification and stability of the financial situation in Bayrischzell. The contribution to income tax is 1.12 million euros, which represents an increase of 30,500 euros compared to the district levy.

Like both Mercury as well as The market report, Bayrischzell is well equipped to continue investing in larger projects and developments in the future while maintaining financial stability.
