Augsburg, Deutschland - Best travel has launched a new “circle” for future topics to promote innovative cooperation within his travel agency cooperation. The kick-off meeting took place in Augsburg, where the board members Cornelius Meyer and Frank Winkler came together with the members to present the initiative. Marcus Crause, Head of Sales & Community from Best Reisen, explained that the goal is to create a community in which knowledge and experiences can be exchanged. This new structure will include various “innovation circles”, which are specifically dealing with current challenges and opportunities in travel sales.

At the end of April, Best-Reisen also organized the first virtual "Community Forum" in which over 250 member offices took part. This forum served to maintain sales impulses from top -class speakers and explore new strategies. The presentations on key figures from the DRV travel agency barometer 2024 as well as booking data were particularly observed, which with the help ofTravel Data+Analyticswere analyzed.

Innovations in focus

As part of the Community Forum, the participants were able to benefit from various best practice examples. Carsten von Hammel, Managing Director of Geo Reisen, explained how he successfully optimized processes based on customer data. In addition, a live demo of a blockchain transaction was presented on the digital travel token marketplace from A3M. Thomas Dillon from A3M demonstrated the functionality of a cash-free voucher transfer. A3M and best travel are validators at Chain4travel, and a pilot project with over 30 agencies starts in May.

In his presentation, Frank Winkler emphasized the importance of blockchain technology for travel sales. This offers new opportunities to revolutionize sales and make processes more transparent. Roland Gassner from Travel Data+Analytics informed about the evaluations and impulses that are of crucial importance for travel agencies.

Philipp Eckelt learned trainees and marketing experts from travel dreams of how the marketing automation of best-Connect can be used effectively.
