Best-Reisen founds Future Circle in Augsburg: Innovation for the industry!

Best-Reisen has launched a new “Circle” for future topics in order to promote innovative collaboration within its travel agency cooperation. The kick-off meeting took place in Augsburg, where board members Cornelius Meyer and Frank Winkler met with members to present the initiative. Marcus Crause, Head of Sales & Community at Best-Reisen, explained that the goal is to create a community where knowledge and experiences can be exchanged. This new structure will include various “Innovation Circles” that specifically address current challenges and opportunities in travel sales.

At the end of April, Best-Reisen also held the first virtual “community forum” in which over 250 member offices took part. This forum served to receive sales impulses from top-class speakers and to explore new strategies. Particular attention was paid to the presentations on key figures from the DRV Travel Agency Barometer 2024 as well as booking data, which was generated using Travel Data+Analytics were analyzed.

Innovations in focus

As part of the community forum, participants were able to benefit from various best practice examples. Carsten von Hammel, Managing Director of Geo Reisen, explained how he successfully optimized processes based on customer data. A live demo of a blockchain transaction was also presented on A3M's digital travel token marketplace. Thomas Dillon from A3M demonstrated how a cashless voucher transfer works. A3M and Best Reisen are validators on Chain4Travel, and a pilot project with over 30 agencies will start in May.

In his presentation, Frank Winkler highlighted the importance of blockchain technology for travel sales. This offers new opportunities to revolutionize sales and make processes more transparent. Roland Gaßner from Travel Data+Analytics provided information about the evaluations and impulses that are of crucial importance for travel agencies.

Share success stories

In addition, Steven Mathes from Lingenfelder Reiselounge shared success strategies for niche products, while Michael Merges from Beachfinder presented his white label IBE. Trainees and marketing experts were able to learn from Philipp Eckelt from Reiseträume how Best-Connect’s marketing automation can be used effectively. These diverse impulses from various areas of travel sales are intended to help further strengthen the market position of the Best-Reisen cooperation.

The combination of the founding of the “Circle” for future topics and the successful community forum shows that Best-Reisen wants to actively shape change in the travel industry. With continuous exchange and innovative approaches, the cooperation relies on collaboration to meet the challenges of the market.
