Feldberg discusses: This is how tourism income should increase!

An intensive discussion took place in the Feldberg local council about the levy to Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH (HTG). The council sat together for two hours to discuss the annual payment of 803,000 euros that Feldberg transfers to HTG. These financial resources, together with the contributions from nine other special-purpose association communities, serve to cover the HTG's expenses. The HTG is tasked with managing tourism issues that were necessary before the company was founded.

A central point in the debate was the idea that Feldberg also has a tourism impact on other municipalities and can therefore benefit from a collective tourism effort. This argument makes it clear that it is time to abandon “community thinking” and instead create comprehensive synergies. The discussion aims to increase the region's tourist attractiveness.
