Hyatt opens luxurious Hotel Casa Duhau in Mendoza's wine region!

Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the opening of the first Unbound Collection Hotel in Argentina. The new luxury hotel, Casa Duhau, will be built in the Mendoza wine region and is scheduled to open in 2027. Construction of the hotel is scheduled to begin at the end of 2025. Casa Duhau will be part of the Reserva Alto Agrelo project, which covers almost 190 hectares and houses several residential areas. The development comprises 116 residential plots offering private driveway, pedestrian walkways, two lagoons and landscaped green areas. Traveltopia reports that the hotel's architecture is led by BMA ARQS, while the interiors are designed by Martín Zanotti Studio and landscaping is by Fernando González.

Casa Duhau will be built on a 40 hectare area planted with vineyards and fruit trees. The luxury hotel will feature 52 accommodations, including 40 private villas and 12 spacious suites, designed for privacy and panoramic views of the Andes. All accommodations also offer impressive views of the Cordón del Plata and the Tupungato Volcano, highlighting the natural beauty of the surrounding area. In addition to two restaurants, the hotel's offerings also include a pool, a fitness center, event rooms and a spa area with a lagoon and comprehensive wellness services.

Leisure opportunities and sustainable facilities

Visitors to Casa Duhau will be able to enjoy a variety of recreational activities in the area. These include horseback riding trips, mountain bike tours and hikes. This high focus on outdoor activities makes the hotel not only a retreat for luxury travelers, but also a destination for nature lovers. In addition, a premium boutique winery called Agrelia will be opened as part of the Reserva Alto Agrelo, which will work with renowned winemakers Michel Rolland and Marcelo Pelleriti. The winery will offer memberships that include exclusive wines.

A special highlight will be the Casa David – Wine & Horses equestrian club, which offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a veterinary practice and a horse training center. These approaches aim to position Casa Duhau as one of the leading luxury travel destinations in South America by combining luxury, well-being and the beauty of nature. Hotel designs highlights that Casa Duhau also builds on the legacy of the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and that the Scalesciani and David families are working closely together on this project.
