In the Herscheid youth center: kite fighting and medieval festival for kids!

On July 16, 2025, the holiday fun started in the Herscheid Youth Center under the motto “Fairy Tales, Myths, Middle Ages”. 37 young participants took part in this exciting event, which opened with an imaginative face-off. The staff and supervisors of the youth center brought to the stage the story of the warrior princess Kristin, who wants to free a prince from the clutches of a dragon. Accompanied by bagpipe music and drum accompaniment by an archer, the face-off became an interactive experience. The children were asked to support their favorites with “strong hand claps”.

At the end of the story there was a surprising twist: the dragons and the princess reached an amicable agreement. This led to a big castle festival where other fairy tale characters took the stage. The children had the opportunity to dance, jump and be musically active. Various games and craft activities as well as excursions have also been planned for the next two weeks. Despite the fact that the holiday fun was not fully booked with 37 participants, there was a positive atmosphere in the youth center.
