Jesolo and Cavallino: Bright Blue Flag for 2025!
Jesolo and Cavallino will receive the Blue Flag again in 2025 for their sustainable beaches and environmental policies on the Adriatic.

Jesolo and Cavallino: Bright Blue Flag for 2025!
Jesolo and Cavallino-Treporti can once again boast of the prestigious Blue Flag in 2025. This award is given by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) awarded and stands for high hygiene standards, clean water as well as the implementation of sustainable environmental policy and first-class services.
The popularity of these two Adriatic coast destinations has steadily increased in recent years, not least due to their efforts to maintain a clean environment. Jesolo is characterized by well-kept beaches and significant investments in infrastructure, cleanliness and sustainable mobility.
Focus on sustainability and environmental protection
The infrastructure in Jesolo includes, among other things, well-developed cycle paths, barrier-free access and organized emergency services that ensure the safety of bathers. Cavallino-Treporti, on the other hand, remains largely undeveloped and places great value on preserving nature and sustainable practices. It is important to note here that the Blue Flag was created in 1987 to promote clean and safe beaches and is continuously maintained.
In 2023, the Blue Flag will fly on a total of 246 beaches and 84 tourist ports in Italy, which includes Jesolo and Cavallino as well as other popular coastal areas such as Bibione, Caorle and Eraclea Mare. The award-winning locations are selected according to strict criteria: bathing water quality, sewage treatment plants, waste disposal, safety, barrier-free access and environmental education are essential aspects.
Long-term award and continuous improvement
Cavallino-Treporti can look back on an impressive record. The region has received the Blue Flag for the fifteenth time in a row. Since 2006 it has been awarded to Cavallino-Treporti and seven other Veneto beaches. This award not only confirms the care and monitoring of the beaches, but also the tireless efforts to ensure the quality of the bathing water.
In total there are 33 criteria that are relevant for the Blue Flag award. These include environmental education, the publication of information about water quality, beach cleaning and the presence of rescue personnel. There must also be accessibility and services for people with physical disabilities, toilets and waste separation.
The Veneto Orientale is considered a role model for sustainable tourism and shows how a high quality of life for locals and tourists can be achieved through targeted environmental policy and commitment. The awarded beaches are clear evidence of the most successful efforts in this area, which continue to receive recognition.
