Get started creatively: The new semester at the VHS Lüdinghausen begins!
The new semester of the Lüdinghausen adult education center begins on January 26th, with over 50 courses in the towns of Ascheberg, Davensberg and Herbern. This extensive program is aimed not only at residents of the region, but also at those interested in the surrounding areas. The offerings are diverse and aim to promote both creativity and personal and professional development.
A special highlight of the semester is the children's university lecture on February 21st, which deals with the exciting topic of “Hack your City”. This event takes place in the Herbern school center and is intended to encourage children and young people to think about how they shape their environment.
Creative and health offers
The range of courses includes numerous creative workshops, such as painting with oil and acrylic, watercolor painting, making paper flowers and various sewing courses. In addition, the experienced photographer Jürgen Hangschlitt offers special courses in which participants learn how to take unique photos with their smartphone and design individual photo books.
Another important area is the health and exercise courses. The offers include “experience dance live”, fitness gymnastics for participants aged 60 and over, meditation, yoga and medicinal herb hikes. From January 29th, new Zumba fitness courses will start in Davensberg under the direction of Marie Surrey.
Health days and legal topics
The fifth Health Days will take place from March 16th to 19th and will feature lectures on medical topics. Topics include:
In addition, courses on legal topics are offered, including wills and inheritance as well as starting a business. Travel lectures about “China – A journey through the Middle Kingdom” and Greenland round off the rest of the program. An astronomy lecture entitled “My Sky” is also scheduled for April 27th.
For all those who are interested in the course offerings, information and the opportunity to register are available on the Adult Education Center website vhs-luedinghausen.de available. A printed program booklet is also available at the VHS office and at various display points, while further information can be requested by telephone on 0 25 93 / 609 40 13.
Additionally, the platform offers volkshochschule.de the ability to carry out a convenient search for vhs courses both nationwide and regionally. Adult education centers can present their course offerings there, which makes it easier for those interested to find suitable offerings in their area.
