Musical adventures with Olga Reiser: flute magic in Oppenheim!
The city of Oppenheim is preparing for a musical highlight: On Friday, March 6, 2026, the historic town hall cellar invites you to an extraordinary concert with the renowned flutist Olga Reiser. Under the title “Flute Tales” she will present the solo qualities of the transverse flute and leave classical conventions behind.
The concert, which is part of the “oppenheim365°” series, starts at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. The ticket price is 19.62 euros, and the seats can be freely selected. Tickets can be purchased online on the city of Oppenheim website ( www.stadt-oppenheim.de/buchen ) and can be purchased on site at the Oppenheim Tourist Information Office, Merianstraße 2a (Thurs-Sat from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).
An innovative program
Olga Reiser will use modern techniques in her program to create a variety of sounds and rhythms. This includes the use of a loop station, which allows her to weave several flute tracks together. This is combined with rhythmic beatboxing and elements of jazz, which gives the concert a fresh, dynamic touch.
Particularly worth mentioning is the use of the entire flute family, from the piccolo to the alto flute. Reiser also incorporates unconventional electronic devices, including a digital alarm clock, into her performance. The repertoire includes, among others, Johann Sebastian Bach's Minuet No. 2 in G minor as well as contemporary pieces by Ian Clarke, Greg Pattillo and Tilmann Dehnhard. The artist will also present her own compositions and improvisations.
