The summer holidays are just around the corner and the people of Neubrandenburg have their sights firmly set on possible travel destinations. The Northern Courier conducted a survey of 15 anonymous respondents to find out where we are headed this year.
The Baltic Sea tops the list of most popular travel destinations, with five respondents choosing it as their destination. The reasons for this choice are the beautiful landscape, the short journey and personal ties to the region through the partner. The North Sea follows close behind, often preferred for camping or family holidays. The majority of survey participants, eight people in total, plan to travel with their partner, while seven people plan to spend their vacations with family or friends.
Diversity of travel destinations
Interestingly, some respondents also chose Neubrandenburg as their holiday destination. Two people chose to stay in the city, with one of those people also traveling with her daughter and a 92-year-old great-grandmother. Other holiday destinations mentioned include Mallorca, where two people have already holidayed several times, as well as exotic destinations such as Turkey and Sri Lanka. The choice of these destinations is often due to the warm weather and cheaper prices compared to Germany.
Additionally, a woman goes to Copenhagen, driven by her son's curiosity. Another respondent is planning a cruise to catch up on something she hasn't done before. It turns out that traveling is a shared experience for all respondents; None of the respondents plan to travel alone. The motives are diverse and range from the search for sun and relaxation to family visits and a sense of adventure.
