Radisson Blu Hamburg Airport: Modernization sets new standards!

The Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg Airport shines in new splendor after extensive modernization was completed. This renovation, which was completed last fall, affects the rooms as well as the lobby and the restaurant. With a modern, bright design, the hotel now presents itself in an international style that combines both the professionalism of an airport hotel and the homely warmth. Open, light-flooded areas invite you to take breaks between meetings or flights. The hotel offers a total of 267 rooms and suites, complemented by 14 meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 350 people. There is also a wellness area with a sauna, steam bath, fitness studio and a roof terrace, which offers guests a relaxing atmosphere and is only around 100 meters from the terminal. A footpath leads to the S-Bahn station, from which Hamburg city center can be reached in just 25 minutes.

Particularly noteworthy is the culinary offering in the Stoke Restaurant, which follows a “German barbecue” concept. This restaurant has established itself as a popular alternative to a quick snack in the departure area and is ideal for breakfast, dinner or a glass of wine before the flight. The renovation of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hamburg is part of a comprehensive investment strategy by the Radisson Hotel Group in Germany. The aim is to strengthen the portfolio by 2025 through new openings and modernizations to meet market requirements.

Comprehensive renovation strategy

The Radisson Hotel Group is implementing a group-wide repositioning and rebranding strategy in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), which includes comprehensive modernizations in more than 500 hotels worldwide. These investments are intended to significantly improve the comfort, efficiency and sustainability of existing properties. Max Gross, Chief Development Officer, emphasizes that the renovations will strengthen the brand's competitiveness. With 63 hotels, Germany is the largest market in Europe for Radisson Blu, the largest upper-upscale brand on the continent.

In addition to the Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg Airport, the Radisson Blu Media Harbor Hotel in Düsseldorf has also undergone a complete renovation. This includes 135 rooms, suites, public areas and meeting rooms, which now offer a new spatial concept with flowing transitions and elegant play of colors and materials. The new bar and bistro concept called Juna serves international cuisine with regional influences and allows guests to enjoy a terrace overlooking the Media Harbor during the summer months.

Outlook for future developments

Radisson Hotel Group plans to expand its portfolio with further new openings by 2025. These include, among others, a Radisson Collection Hotel in Berlin and a Harbr. Hotel in Ludwigsburg. Five new hotels are to be added in Germany by the end of the year. Activities are also being initiated in Austria and Switzerland, such as the opening of the Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel in Vienna and extensive renovations in Zurich and Basel.

Overall, the Radisson Hotel Group remains strongly focused on the DACH market in order to further expand its presence and offerings for guests.
