Mysterious neighbor pranks: When Heinz investigates without Erika!
On May 26, 2025, the Ägdschen theater club from Altenstadt will present the humorous play “A Week Without Erika” in the village community center in the Waldsiedlung. The plot of the crime piece focuses on the passionate crime novel reader Heinz Hinzmann, who is controlled by his neighbor Leonore while his wife Erika is away. This absence brings bizarre and chaotic turns to Hein's life.
Heinz, played by Kurt Günther, believes he is observing suspicious activity in the neighborhood. Supported by Christine Hacker in the role of Leonore von Bock, he gets deeper and deeper into a web of misunderstandings and confusion. He also has to deal with the characters Bruno Hülsenschläger, played by Philipp Nagel, and the mysterious Sylvia von Bernstein, played by Uschi Reifschneider.
Tension and comedy
The play deals with alleged murder plans against Sylvia, while Heinz keeps an eye on Bruno and Lisa, who is played by Rebecca Lehmann. When Bruno appears covered in blood and asks where he can make something disappear, the situation becomes both comical and worrying for Heinz and the audience. However, the two inspectors Hanni Spür (Maggie Marcinietz) and Nanni Sinn (Ulrike Bachmann) do not take Heinz seriously because he has often raised the alarm about falsely suspected crimes.
These predicaments and the search for the truth lead to many amusing moments throughout the play. Ultimately it turns out that the blood stains come from cherry champagne and the alleged murder plans involve a fictional character named Samantha Tucker. At the end, Bruno, the author of the crime series, surprises those present by announcing that he will continue the story about the murder plans.
