Montpellier Falls is a high and majestic waterfall in the municipality of Aleegria in Cebu. Strangely enough, this waterfall is still very quiet, which means that it is one of the best insider tips on the island!

Where is Montpellier Fall?

It is not the simplest waterfall without finding the correct directions. You may be asking yourself: "Where are the Montpelliers if?" The waterfall is about an hour's drive or moped trip from Moalboal.

from Moalboal you can drive south about 45 minutes, past the Kawasan Falls and the popular canyoning spots. This waterfall is largely unmarked, but I took the freedom to mark the place on the map below so that you can find it easier.

If you follow the direction of the abbey, you can't do anything wrong. From the coast it is a 20-minute drive on the winding road through the mountains. Look for a bamboo hut with a painted sign on the edge of the cliff. Here you can park your car or motorcycle.

After parking, you can walk down the mountain path for 15 minutes, past palm trees and Cebu jungle. There is a small local community on the way. If you get lost, just ask one of the children.

As soon as you start relegation, you will undoubtedly hear the steep water jet of the waterfall.

Montpellier Falls is a high but thin waterfall that flows from a funnel -shaped point on the steep limestone cliff. The water drips directly onto a large rock, which is half dipped into the aqua dumplings. It definitely looks like from the jungle book.

The swimming hole is definitely deep enough for swimming and a great place to cool off in Cebu on a hot day. The surrounding landscape is a poet, untouched jungle that is littered with palm trees and dense tropical flora.

A waterfall adventure day

Since it takes over an hour to reach the Montpellier if not, why not visit some nearby waterfalls? We decided to visit Montpellier directly after the Cambais Falls that are less than 30 minutes away.

If you come from Cambais to Montpellier, it is best to simply take the streets in the interior and use Google Maps and the help of the locals to find Montpellier.

In my opinion, it is probably better to look at Cambais first to avoid backing back.

In my opinion, Moalboal is the best place to settle down because it is close to the best activities and epic attractions that you want to add to your Cebu Reiseroute. However, if you plan to travel the island, I would also recommend staying here:
