Cát Bà, Vietnam - May 31, 2025 marks a special day in the development of CAT BA, where the Sun Group ceremoniously opened a new chain of tourism, entertainment and culinary offers. This initiative follows the 70th anniversary of Haiphong's liberation, which was celebrated on May 13, 2025. The aim of this comprehensive development is to expand Cat BA's World Natural Heritage into a more attractive tourism goal.
In just one year, the appearance of Central Bay has changed dramatically. A new marine pitch, a spacious beach and a range of exciting restaurant offers now shape the area. A special highlight is the VUI festival night market, which attracts visitors with mini shows, games, music and local culinary delights.
Guinness World Record in Cat Ba
The art and sports demonstration, which set up two Guinness World Records during the opening ceremony, is particularly remarkable. During the show "Green Island Symphony", both the largest Jetski fireworks formation and most reverse salosos of a flyboard acrobat were recorded in one minute. These records were officially confirmed on May 30th and represent a new milestone for CAT BA and the domestic entertainment and tourism industry. According to Vietnam News be it for the first time in Vietnam that combines extreme sports and fire work, received two Guinness World Record at the same time.The show, produced by H2O Events and Laservision, was designed within two months and took place in a newly designed sea area. Almost 40 international athletes took part and the implementation was subject to strict inspections. The staging was inspired by the legend of the Kranichfee and the five-element theory and attracted thousands of spectators on the opening night.

The new tourism concept also includes the operation of electric buses and buggies in order to create an environmentally friendly infrastructure. In addition, two beach restaurants were opened - the Forest Beach Club and the Sea Beach Club, which offer fresh seafood and grilled dishes.
The CEO of the Sun Group, Dang Minh Truong, emphasizes the endeavor to bring unique experiences to Vietnam and to increase the attractiveness of the travel destination Cat BA.
