Cát Bà celebrates records: new attractions attract thousands!

May 31, 2025 marks a special day in the development of Cat Ba, where Sun Group formally opened a new chain of tourism, entertainment and culinary offerings. This initiative follows the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Haiphong, which was celebrated on May 13, 2025. The aim of this comprehensive development is to develop Cat Ba's natural world heritage site into a more attractive tourism destination.

In just one year, the appearance of the Central Bay has changed dramatically. A new seafront spot, an expansive beach and an array of exciting restaurant offerings now characterize the area. A particular highlight is the Vui Festival night market, which attracts visitors with mini shows, games, music and local culinary delicacies.

Guinness World Records in Cat Ba

Of particular note is the arts and sports demonstration, which set two Guinness World Records during the opening ceremony. During the Green Island Symphony show, both the largest jet ski fireworks formation and the most backflips by a flyboard acrobat in one minute were recorded. These records were officially confirmed on May 30, marking a new milestone for Cat Ba and the domestic entertainment and tourism industry. According to Viet Nam News be it the first time in Vietnam that an artistic show combining extreme sports and fireworks received two Guinness World Records at the same time.

The show, produced by H2O Events and LaserVision, was conceived within two months and took place in a newly designed marine area. Almost 40 international athletes took part and the event was subject to strict inspections. The production was inspired by the legend of the Crane Fairy and the Five Element Theory and attracted thousands of spectators on opening night.

Environmentally friendly infrastructure and attractions

In addition to the records, the new tourism concept also includes the operation of electric buses and buggies to create an environmentally friendly infrastructure. Two beachfront restaurants have also opened - the Forest Beach Club and the Sea Beach Club, offering fresh seafood and grilled dishes.

Sun Group CEO Dang Minh Truong emphasizes the commitment to bring unique experiences to Vietnam and increase the attractiveness of the Cat Ba destination. The show runs five nights a week from Tuesday to Sunday, with ticket prices starting at 1 million VND, with discounts available for combination tickets and bookings via the Sun Paradise Land app. This makes Cat Ba not only a destination for nature lovers, but also a place for exciting entertainment.
