New Walk of Wagner 2025: Discover Wagner's places of residence!

The Walk of Wagner in Bayreuth, who has attracted numerous visitors since its introduction in 2013, will start with a new topic in 2025: the residential place of the composer Richard Wagner. According to bayreuth.de this year various residence facilities from various regions of Europe will be presented, including Saxony, Franconia, Upper Bavaria, Bavarian-Swabia, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Italy, Austria, Latvia and the Czech. These sites are known for their historical relevance because Wagner lived there at times.

The Walk of Wagner itself extends from the Richard Wagner Residence, known as Wahnfried, to the Festspielhaus and offers visitors an authentic insight into Wagner's life and work. Over the years, 17 characteristic cubes have been set up that present changing topics every year and offer exciting insights into the life and creative world of Wagner. An accompanying Leporello provides information about Wagner's original locations in Bayreuth and contains a city map that shows the course of the Walk of Wagner. This Leporello is available at the Tourist Information at Operernstraße 22 and can also be downloaded on the website of bayreuth-tourismus.de
