MSC Cruises: New culinary concept for an experience in a class of its own!

MSC Cruises has introduced an innovative concept for specialty restaurants across the fleet, aimed at making the dining experience more enjoyable and transparent for guests. The changes include revised fixed-price menus and customizable restaurant packages. The new menu design allows guests to choose a selection of dishes for a full menu consisting of a starter, main course and dessert at a fixed price. Special dishes, such as the exclusive Ozaki Wagyu beef, incur a small additional charge.

Also new are the flexible packages that can be booked in advance for one to four restaurant visits. These packages offer guests the opportunity to tailor their visits to personal preferences, including multiple visits to their favorite restaurant. A price advantage of up to 20 percent is possible when booking the packages in advance compared to the regular on-board price. These changes respond to guests' desire for more flexibility, transparency and individuality during their cruises. MSC also emphasizes the importance of high-quality ingredients and diverse culinary experiences on board.

Diverse restaurant options

One of the highlights in the specialty restaurants is Butcher’s Cut, a US-style steakhouse. It has been an integral part of MSC Cruises' gastronomy since its introduction on the first Meraviglia-class ships. The restaurant is characterized by a stylishly rustic ambience, with photos hanging on dark wooden walls and glass refrigerated display cases presenting the steaks. Guests can enjoy a selection of American wines with their steak.

The Butcher’s Cut locations can be found in several ship classes:

  • Fantasia, Splendida, Divina und Preziosa: Deck 7, hinterer Bereich, in der Nähe der Showlounge.
  • Meraviglia, Bellissima, Grandiosa und Virtuosa: Deck 7, Empore der Galleria.
  • Seaside und Seaview: Deck 16, neben Ocean Cay.
  • Seashore und Seascape: Deck 8, am Chef’s Court.
  • World Europa: Deck 7, neben dem japanischen Kaito.

The Butcher’s Cut is missing on the ship Euribia, which belongs to the Meraviglia Plus class; Instead, passengers can expect the Le Grill restaurant, which serves grilled dry-aged Black Angus beef. Another specialty restaurant on board World Europa is Pizza & Burger, which offers pizza and grill buffets near the Luna Park Arena on Deck 6.

In addition, the Surf & Turf on the Armonia offers a small specialty restaurant that can accommodate up to 38 passengers and serves a fine selection of grilled meat, fish and seafood specialties in an inviting ambience.

These new culinary concepts and facilities ensure that passengers on the MSC fleet can continue to expect an exquisite dining experience that focuses on both variety and quality ingredients.
