The best beaches we have ever seen
The best beaches we have ever seen
When I went on vacation for the first time, I was 18 and looking for the perfect beach. You know the variety: powder white sand and clear turquoise water in front of a bright blue sky. I saw beautiful beaches in Barbados, Tunisia, Thailand, Mexico and Dubai, but nobody was just like the brochures and advertising boards.
You were either lined with hotel high -rise buildings (Waikiki), full of tourists (Ko Phi Phi) or not quite as soft and powdery as the pictures make. At some point I came to the conclusion that all the commercials beyond reality were and that there was no such thing as the perfect beach. And then I traveled to the Maldives, to Fiji and Samoa and found what I was looking for.
Here is a list of my perfect beaches, accompanied by photos that we took ourselves (i.e. no brochure -like retouching). I am sure that there are still many to discover (such as Whitehaven Beach in Australia or Cayo Largo in Cuba or the many on the Seychelles), but here is what I have so far.
1. Island of Baros, Maldives

I can't rave enough about this place. Baros is an exclusive private resort that I was able to visit in 2012. It is located in the north-painting Atoll and is a tiny island that you cross on foot in about eight minutes. The entire island is covered with powder -white sand, in the vicinity of which the warm water of the Indian ocean ripples. If you plan honeymoon, this beach is number one on my list.
2. Motu Tapu, Bora Bora, French-Polynesia

Our first three days in Bora Bora were characterized by bad weather. We were afraid to go without seeing it in its splendor. Fortunately, the sky cleared up on the fourth day and we drove to Motu Tapu with some kayaks, a small island near the capital Vaitape. We had the Motu for ourselves and spent a whole day with such prospects.
3. Muri Beach, Rarotonga, Cook Islands

muri is the only beach on this list that does not meet my “secluded” criterion, since it unfortunately has a number of hotels on one side. Nevertheless, due to the stunningly clear water and the view of the breathtaking Hinterland of Rarotonga, it is still considered one of the best beaches that I have ever seen.
4. Small beach, vanuatu
Alt = "Small beach on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu"> Atlas & Boots
We visited this beach for five days and had it every day for us alone, apart from a Saturday, on which some cheeky local children came to us who played happily in the water. Hidden on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu, Little Beach looks at volcanic black rocks and the beautiful warm water of the Pacific Ocean.
5. Wedding trip island, Fiji
When it comes to Fiji, we had many beaches to choose from, the best candidates were Malolo Island, Monuriki Island and Honeymoon Island in the Mamanuca Group. The last one won first place because it was delivered with a gourmet picnic basket. What you choose, be sure that you will enjoy prospects like those below.
6. Bay of Tortuga, Galápagos Islands
We have seen no eponymous tortugas (turtles) on this beach, but we stayed on its incredible white sand strip with sea lips. The bay is a 40 -minute walk from the center of the capital of the island of Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayora, and therefore not as populated as it could be - that means if you are very lucky, you can have it completely for yourself.
7. Beach of Tafafa, Samoa
alt = “”> Atlas & Boots
We went for an hour and saw no human soul, only clear blue water and warm yellow sand. We spent the morning diving into and out of the water, sunbathing ourselves until we got too hot and then taking a lazy bath. With our base in Vaiula Beach Fales (a few simple beach huts without walls) we were not exactly in luxury, but we hardly noticed it.
Mission statement: Atlas & Boots
