12 cycling accessories that we would like for our next trip
Returned from our first bike tour - a tour of myanmar - we look at useful bicycle accessories that we would like for our next trip
We had a great experience on our bike tour through Myanmar, but one thing we noticed that we were not very well equipped compared to other cyclists.
We are much better prepared for our hiking, climbing and mountaineering escapades than on adventures on two wheels. This did not prevent us from having a great time, but a few of the following bicycle accessories would have made our days a bit easier in the saddle.
10 bicycle accessories
The bicycle accessories listed below ranges from the basic requirement to frivolous effort!
1. | carrier pants We were quite skeptical when we saw one of our group members in a carrier pants for the first time. The image of a mankini came to my mind! After a day in the saddle, however, we wished we had invested in a few. Castelli Free Aero Race for men and women offers well -positioned upholstery that does not have to be adapted all day. |
2. | bike jersey A light bike jersey with zip pockets on the back would have been better than the hiking underwear we were traveling in. They are somewhat more breathable and the back pockets would have been used. Tenn’s sprint short -armed jersey is a popular and inexpensive option. |
3. | Sattelteltakia and I both cycled with backpacks that were significantly larger than the saddlebags of the group members. The Topeak Aero Wedge is large enough to transport the bare essentials together with a few comfort items. |
4. | bicycle gloves It is worth investing in a decent pair of bicycle gloves, especially if you plan to continue cycling. Fingerless gloves are ideal for hot climates. Giro Monaco is a popular and affordable option. |
5. | Identification bracelet The Roadid ID Armband is a personalized bracelet that enables you to record important information such as your names, emergency contact numbers, insurance and medical information. It is not absolutely necessary, but offers security for long-distance or solo trips. |
6. | Mobile phone holder Useful bicycle accessories for navigation and smartphone photography on the go. Finn and Choetech offer both universal quick tensioners and secure smartphone handlebars. |
7. | drinking sack sack for a water bottle is anything but ideal for new bicycles. In Myanmar the brooding heat meant that we had to take a lot of water with us, so we both wished ourselves that we had a drinking bag with us. The Camelbak 2016 Mule is the "perfect balance of load and fluid intake" with plenty of space in the backpack for other important things. |
8. | sunscreen We had sunscreen with high sun protection factor that definitely worked. Thanks to the relentless heat of Myanmar, however, we have constantly applied it. The characteristic sun protection from Sun Bum is water and welding resistant, free of fragrances and gently to sensitive skin. |
9. | sunglasses We only had leisure sun glasses that looked good but were not very practical. There is no need to spend hundreds; A few polarized sports sunglasses such as Z [Easyazon_link Identifier = ”B00JB3DU4U” Locale = ”Us” Tag = ”ATBO0C-20 ″] Rivbos 805 will function perfectly. |
10. | dirt catchers We are now far in areas that are not necessarily necessary, but if you are on a bike tour and in restaurants, religious sites and tourist attractions, you may not want to go to your back with your back! ASS SAVER are light fenders that are subtly sitting under your saddle and are ready for use when it gets wet. |
11. | Winglighthtskia was not quite sure to signal with their arms on certain busy roads in Myanmar, and would have benefited from innovative winglights that can be attached at the end of their handlebar and simply operated at the push of a button. |
12. | bicycle-to-bike radio devices may be a bit exaggerated, but these could be particularly useful if they drive in a large group with members of different skills. With the Terrano-X bicycle-to-bike radio devices, you can easily stay in contact with your co-cyclists and keep up to date with the dangers, directions and traffic conditions. |
