Star of the Seas: Dream cruise starts 15 days early!

Royal Caribbean International has some exciting news regarding the Star of the Seas published. The debut of the new building has been brought forward by 15 days, so the first bookable departure is now scheduled for August 16, 2025 instead of the original August 31. This decision could attract additional vacationers who are looking forward to the upcoming trips.

Four short voyages to the private island of Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas will be offered prior to the first regular sailing, giving passengers a first opportunity to enjoy the ship and amenities. Construction of the ship in Finland, at the Meyer Turku shipyard, is an impressive 96 percent complete, and a successful test trip on the Baltic Sea has also already been carried out.

Variety of experiences on board

The Star of the Seas will be based long-term in Port Canaveral, Florida and is one of the largest cruise ships in the world. The ship is divided into eight different experience districts, offering passengers a variety of activities. These include Chill Island, Thrill Island, Surfside, AquaDome, The Hideaway, Central Park, Royal Promenade and Suite Neighborhood.

A special highlight is the AquaDome, which offers impressive diving stunts under a state-of-the-art waterfall. In addition, Absolute Zero is the largest ice arena in the entire fleet, where world-class figure skaters perform mesmerizing jumps and dances. The Royal Theater is used for exciting live performances, with artists in eye-catching costumes singing pop and Broadway classics, ensuring entertainment for the whole family.

The gastronomic offer and entertainment

Star of the Seas also offers a wide range of relaxing venues, including stylish lounges such as Schooner Bar, Lou's and Dueling Pianos that offer live music. At Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, guests can enjoy sports broadcasts and sample tasty snacks like nachos and wings.

Starting in late August 2025, the ship will offer week-long voyages to the Western and Eastern Caribbean. Each trip includes a stay on the private island Perfect Day at CocoCay, making the itinerary even more attractive. Current information about the christening of the Star of the Seas is not yet available, but anticipation for the newest member of the Royal Caribbean fleet is already great.
