In summer 2025, package holidays in several popular travel destinations will be cheaper for holidaymakers than in the previous year. An analysis of Travel reporter shows that despite a general increase in average prices of 5%, some destinations are significantly cheaper.
Overall, package travel bookings for the period from June 28th to September 15th, 2025 were examined. The discounts are particularly noticeable in popular holiday destinations such as Thailand, France, Cuba and Indonesia, where daily costs per person have been reduced. A trip to Thailand now costs 122 euros, which means a decrease of 2% compared to the previous year.
Cheap travel destinations 2025
The following destinations will be particularly attractive for travelers in 2025:

- Ägypten: 106 Euro pro Person/Tag
- Österreich: 107 Euro pro Person/Tag
At the same time, there are price reductions in the following countries:
- Thailand: 122 Euro pro Person/Tag (2% günstiger)
- Frankreich: 128 Euro pro Person/Tag (2% günstiger)
- Kuba: 136 Euro pro Person/Tag (2% günstiger)
- Indonesien: 146 Euro pro Person/Tag (7% günstiger)
“Holidaycheck” also found that 14 of 28 regions are cheaper during the high season than last year. Travel in June and October is particularly cheap for couples compared to the main season. For example, travelers on the Costa Brava in June can expect to pay as little as 1,100 euros for a week's vacation.
Cost reductions and local spending
The Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer from Holiday Pirates shows that in 60% of the travel destinations analyzed, costs have fallen compared to the previous year. This is often due to the weakness of the local currency, which has a positive impact on local spending.
Additionally, certain items such as coffee and beer were found to be cheaper in many locations. The cheapest coffee is in the Algarve, while the most expensive is in the Dominican Republic. Vietnam has the cheapest beer, while prices are highest in central Dubai.
The combination of reduced package holiday prices and better value for money locally makes 2025 a promising year for holidaymakers looking for bargains.
