Football festival in Da Nang: MU legends and international youth tournament!
A highly anticipated friendly match between Manchester Reds and Vietnam Stars will take place on June 27, 2025 at the Hòa Xuân Stadium in Da Nang. The game starts at 6 p.m. and promises to bring numerous football greats onto the field. Manchester United legends taking part include Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen, Dwight Yorke, Kleberson and Teddy Sheringham. This event will not only be a highlight in the football calendar, but also an opportunity to promote relations and the economy in the region.
The Hòa Xuân Stadium, which opened in 2016, has a capacity of approximately 20,500 spectators, making it one of the larger sports venues in Vietnam. It is located in Cam Le District, just outside Da Nang city center. With a construction cost estimated at 281 billion Vietnamese Đồng, the stadium was established as the home of the SHB Da Nang football team, replacing the former Chi Lăng Stadium.
Investment and Tourism Festival
The friendly match is part of a larger festival aimed at promoting international investment and tourism between Vietnam and the UK. In addition to the football game, there will be an international youth football tournament for the U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups, in which teams from various Asian football academies will take part. Such events are intended not only to increase sporting enjoyment, but also to support the economic development of Da Nang.
