Big exhibition in Hanoi: Celebrating Vietnam's 80 years of progress!

On June 11, 2025, an important meeting of the organizing committee for the upcoming “Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition” was held. This meeting was chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, chaired by Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Central departments, ministries and relevant branches were present. At the provincial level, Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, the establishment of the organizing committee and a comprehensive organizational plan were approved. The exhibition is scheduled to run from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Hanoi. The total area of the exhibition rooms is expected to be up to 260,000 m², of which 130,000 m² is inside and 130,000 m² is outside.

Planned content and technological innovations

The planned content of the exhibition is diverse and innovative. Plans include 3D mapping projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works and digital technologies. These modern tools are intended to provide an attractive presentation of Vietnam's socio-economic developments. The main purpose of this is to celebrate the progress of the last 80 years.

To further enrich the event, supporting activities such as art programs, culinary offerings and product promotion of the OCOP (One Commune One Product) initiatives will be integrated. Delegates to the meeting also discussed the current status of the work and identified financial difficulties for which concrete solutions were proposed. Minister Nguyen Van Hung called for determination and commitment to ensure a high-quality and safe organization of the exhibition.

Financing and public relations

A central theme of the meeting was the mobilization of public funding sources to accomplish the necessary tasks. All sectors and communities are called upon to provide information and data on the socio-economic achievements of the last 80 years. This is important to represent Vietnam's diversity and achievements in recent decades.

The exhibition is closely related to the upcoming 80th anniversary of the national holiday, which will be celebrated on May 31, 2025. To mark the occasion, the exhibition will be held from August 28 to September 6, 2025, with the aim of properly celebrating Vietnam's socio-economic development. The National Exhibition Center is being realized with the support of Vingroup Corporation and is strategically located on major transport routes in Hanoi. The center is scheduled to open on September 2, 2025, to coincide with the national holiday.

The opening of the National Exhibition Center, considered the second largest exhibition hall in the world and the largest in Asia, promises to be a significant event for Vietnam. With modern technologies such as 3D mapping, virtual reality experiences and elaborate outdoor facilities, it will be an attractive destination for tourists and locals alike. The center's interior design is inspired by the Golden Turtle and provides space for numerous exhibitions and events.
