AIDA sets new price drivers: This is how the cruise vacation becomes expensive!
AIDA fundamentally reformed its pricing system on July 15, 2025 and introduced six new price tariffs. These changes not only shock cruise experts, but also bring some significant adjustments for travelers, like Swabian reported.
From now on, holidaymakers have to choose from one of the new tariff options and pay extra for additional services. The price for an inside cabin starts at 899 euros per person, while a balcony cabin is available from 1349 euros per person. An example of the new conditions is a Christmas trip to the Canary Islands, which costs 5,670 euros including flights for two adults.
The new tariffs in detail
The new pricing model includes the following tariffs: “Classic”, “Premium” and “Comfort all in”. The “Comfort all in” tariff is the most comprehensive and costs from 3870 euros. It includes numerous additional services, including a drinks package, an internet flat rate and two hours of daily use of the spa. Furthermore indicates Cruise cult points out that AIDA also offers a 1st class Rail&Fly offer for passengers with this tariff.
The new tariffs are as follows:
| Tariff | Services | Price (from) |
|---|---|---|
| COMFORT ALL IN | Desired cabin, drinks package, internet flat rate, spa, Rail&Fly 1st class | 3870 euros |
| PREMIUM ALL IN | Desired cabin, drinks package, Rail&Fly 2nd class | unknown |
| PREMIUM | Desired cabin, Rail&Fly 2nd class, mineral water | unknown |
| CLASSIC ALL IN | Drinks package included, cabin category selectable | unknown |
| CLASSIC | Cabin category selectable, no drinks package | unknown |
| LIGHT | Saver fare for selected trips, no rebookings | unknown |
Additional costs and offers
The tariffs offered also include advanced options that can significantly affect the overall price. Services such as use of the spa, cocktails or the gourmet flat rate of 12.90 euros for specialty restaurants are not included in the basic price. However, AIDA still offers a range of free services, including buffet restaurants as well as entertainment and fitness options.
Another significant change concerns the children's prices: the “Comfort All In” tariff has a 35% discount, the “Classic” tariff has a 25% discount, while the “Light” tariff cannot provide any discounts for children.
It is advisable for travelers to allow at least an hour to book on the website and make several test bookings. Although the new pricing structure allows for individual adjustments, the number of “bargain trips” could decrease, according to experts.
With these comprehensive changes, AIDA aims to create a more transparent and individualized offer for different needs, while potential travelers can benefit from discounts and greater choice through early bookings.
