At the same time, 35% would like to see and experience more than in previous years.
An important aspect of this planning is making smart travel decisions. 43% of travelers are determined to get more out of their vacation budget, while 26% plan their summer vacation well in advance. In addition, 50% of those surveyed say that they discuss their travel plans with friends and family, while 42% check the weather at their destination.

Another notable finding from the survey is that 80% of travelers are willing to change their travel dates to save money. When it comes to flights, Saturday is the most expensive day to fly, while Friday is the cheapest. The cheapest travel week is calendar week 35, which is at the end of August.
