Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfall leader - Lombok

Complete waterfall leader for the waterfalls Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu in the center of Lombok! How to achieve us, current information about fees and what you expect!

The waterfalls Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu are two of the best waterfalls on the island of Lombok, and that means something! The geopark area is located on the sloping hills of Mount Rinjani, where fresh water flows through thick volcanic veins and flows into the dense jungle waterfalls underneath.

How to come to the Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu Wasserfall

These waterfalls are located in the Central Lombok Regency, about 1.5 hours from Senggigi or 45 minutes from Tetebatu. The village is known as Teratak Village in the North Batucliang District. They are all in the same geopark area and can be reached from each other via a short hike.

I attached the position of the Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfall below to help you search for the position.

Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu Waterfall Entry fee 2019

As soon as you have reached the entrance gate to the Geopark Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu Waterfall, you will be led to a building on the right. You can park your motorcycle right next to it.

Inside you have to pay for admission. For some reason, you recently divided the fees for various "packages". I think this is an attempt to get more people to hire a local guide. I am in favor of supporting local tourism and travel guides. However, these boys were extremely pushy and tried to say that a guide was mandatory, which is definitely not the case.

After a little negotiation, we were able to convince you to get a local guide for 35,000 IDRs each. At the end of the day, this is still the highest entry fee for an Indonesian waterfall that I have ever paid. While the prices, boards and receipts look legitimate and official, they cannot be tempted to pay an unfair waterfall entry price.

Commissioning of a local guides

If you prefer to hire a local guide, this is a great way to get more information about these Lombok waterfalls. It will also be easier for them to find the other two hidden waterfalls (which I will go into more detail later).

The price for a local guide varies. A fair price would be about 75,000 IDR.

Waterfall tour

If you do not have your own set of your own or do not want to file for admission, a full -day waterfall tour is a great way to see Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfall.

The tour that I linked below contains all costs and organizes the collection and return of accommodations from pretty much everywhere in Lombok.

Okay, if that is out of the way, let's go to the actual Lombok waterfalls! The first on the list is the Benang Stokel or Air Terjun Benang Stokel waterfall, as it is called by the locals.

This cannot be overlooked. Simply follow the path for a slight walk of about 15 minutes until you reach the clearing.

Benang Stokel has three outgals, each flowing into a flat pool. However, if you visit these waterfalls in the dry season, only the main waterfall can be seen with full force. Unfortunately, you cannot swim with these waterfalls because the pool is very flat. However, you can still get a good natural waterfall shower.

Benang Kelambu Waterfall

From Benang Stokel, follow the cards and describe the Benang Kelambu waterfall. The walk only takes 15 minutes, leads up the jungle streets, past banana plantations and ends with a steep descent to the last waterfall.

Air Terjun Benang Kelambu is one of my favorite waterfalls in Lombok, if only because it is so unique. Kelambu means "network" in Indonesian, and it is easy to understand why. The water gently flows down a lavish green wall that looks almost like a portal to another world.

The wall is wide, with several calming cascades that gently flow into an artificial concrete swimming pool.

Tip: You could try to walk directly to the main waterfall and the swimming pool. However, there is another small waterfall just left behind the steps and behind a curtain of vines and trees. From here you can even go to the right to get an epic shower in the Benang Kelambu waterfall.

3 Other hidden waterfalls

What many people don't know about the waterfalls Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu is that there are actually 3 more waterfalls here! If you hire a local guide, he will probably show you where you are when you ask about it.

If not, then you can read my full blog post about it.

Overall, we had an epic time on these waterfalls. I would classify her up there with my favorite in Lombok. After a long day of the waterfall hunt, we made ourselves just in time for sunset on Pantai Malase with some local legends on the strenuous journey back to Senggigi.

How was your experience with the waterfalls Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu? I would like to hear them.
