How do I get here
To get here, you must first drive to the visitor center of the Mount Field National Park, which is about 1.5 hours from Hofart. The street to the park follows the Brooker and Lyell Highways and is constantly paved.
Unfortunately, you will not find public transport or organized tours that contain a stop at the Horseshoe Falls. However, if you want to see the famous rainforests of Mount Field and his star; Russell Falls, then I can recommend booking a full -day national parking tour from Hobart.

on foot on the Horseshoe Falls
The way to the Horseshoe Falls leads first to the Russell Falls, the main attraction of this park. Afterwards, hikers continue for about 10 minutes over a short climb on well -preserved wooden stairs.
You will find this waterfall and the end of a short path that leads to forking the "Three Falls Circuit", shortly after the Russell Falls. When you visit Mount Field, I strongly recommend you to see these waterfalls by taking this circular route, which also leads past the Lady Barron Falls and the world -famous "Tall Trees Walk".

Visiting the waterfall
The path to this waterfall is sealed continuously and planned with boards. In the end, hikers find a wide viewing platform on which you can admire and photograph this Tassie miracle.

Although he is not the highest waterfall at only 5 meters, it is the serenity and aesthetics of his quiet environment that make it a must. Several streams overthrow a wide clearing and meet in a water vertebra that looks almost as if it had been designed by a master artist.
