Björn Daugs: 100 days of fresh air for Bad Pyrmont tourism!
On May 15, 2025, Björn Daugs looks back on his first 100 days as managing director of Bad Pyrmont Tourismus GmbH. During this time he set the course for the future-oriented development of tourism in Bad Pyrmont. Daugs describes his team as motivated and imaginative, which helps him in his diverse tasks.
With many years of experience in marketing, most recently at Sonepar, Daugs has already examined numerous internal processes and introduced new project structures. Cost savings have been identified and the team is currently working on 41 projects supported by a modern digital project management tool.
Innovative approaches to promoting tourism
In order to ensure a targeted approach to the target groups, the first advertising campaigns have already been launched. In addition, a dynamic QR code system was set up for the city to efficiently track click numbers. In the first weeks of his term of office, Daugs personally met many stakeholders in Bad Pyrmont and the surrounding area and was already preparing for the new challenge two months before he officially started work.
A central goal is to create a consistent corporate design for Bad Pyrmont, which has already been implemented in the digital channels of Bad Pyrmont Tourismus GmbH. A new logo for the motorhome port was also designed and a company channel on LinkedIn was set up to increase communication with the public.
Future-oriented projects and offers
Daugs has also taken on tourism promotion projects for 2024, including the planning of new hiking trails and the renewal of EXPO boards. Short films about historical sights were produced, which can be accessed via QR codes and thus represent an innovative source of information for visitors.
Another highlight that is already being planned will be at Europa-Platz; however, the specific details are still pending. Future projects also include streamlining website content and developing a new umbrella campaign for Bad Pyrmont.
