Papenburg, Deutschland - Celebrity Cruises implements an extensive modernization program for the Srystice Class ships and invests over $ 250 million in improvement and redesign. The first measures begin with the Celebrity Solstice, which is the first ship of the fleet. The work should be completed by March 2026 after fundamental changes have been made in eight different areas. The ships, which measured an average of 122,000 BRZ and were built by the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, are comprehensively overhauled.

Each of the 1,479 cabins is renewed to offer guests a modern and comfortable experience. As part of the renovation, new bars and lounges are also set up, including the boulevard lounge, a show lounge, and the boulevard bar, which is located near this lounge. An upscale sports bar is opened under the name Celebrity Barcade, which will enrich the leisure offer on board.

In addition to the new bars, there will also be innovative culinary offers. The Trattoria Rossa, which comes up with modern design and opulence, and the Fine Cut Steakhouse, a well-known restaurant from the Celebrity ships of the EDGE class, promise gastronomic highlights on the high seas.

Another focus is on the design of the free deck. This is transformed into Sunset Park, which is around 2,000 square meters in size and combines high culinary demands with cocktails, lawn games and open-air concerts. Private cabanas and an extended Sunset Bar will also be part of the innovations.

In view of the suite guests, extensive improvements are planned. Newly designed suites and the retreat area will ensure an even more luxurious experience. Other modernized areas include Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, the World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar and exclusive areas such as Blu for Aquaclass guests and Luminae for retreat guests. The Fitness Center and the Camp at Sea also receive an update.

Grand Voyage 2026/2027

A special highlight is the planned 111-day "Grand Voyage", which will take place from mid-September 2026 to the beginning of January 2027. This cruise will control a total of 55 destinations and offers guests the opportunity to discover the diversity and beauty of the regions visited. In order to ensure the comfort of the guests, they are usually booked on successive cruises in the same ship and in the same cabin.

Despite the bookings, there are some important information for the guests: HR may be left in the cabin during the transition from one cruise to another, even if the passengers have to leave the ship on the basis of customs regulations. In certain cases, it may be necessary to book another cabin, which must be observed in the night before the navigation.

The guests should make sure that they pack their luggage on the last evening of the first cruise and leave in the cabin to ensure a problem -free handover to the new room in the morning of disembarkation.
