Roof terrace hopping in Kleve: Experience enjoyment and history!
A very special bike tour entitled “Insights and Outlooks” starts in Kleve on June 6, 2025. Organized by Business, Tourism & Marketing Stadt Kleve GmbH (WTM), this event is aimed at everyone who wants to experience both the city and its sights in an unused way. The tour begins at 3 p.m. at the Kurhaus Kleve Museum and promises a journey of discovery through the roof terraces that Kleve has to offer.
An attractive program awaits participants: they can enjoy snacks and a drink on the terrace of Café Moritz while taking in an impressive view of the gardens. Tour guide Birgit van den Boom leads through the event and enriches the tour with exciting anecdotes about the history of Kleve.
Tour stops
The bike tour, which is approximately 7 km long, has several special stops planned. Including the roof terrace of the Moment Skylounge restaurant, which offers a unique view over the city. Participants can also enjoy a cocktail here.
Another stop is the roof terrace of the Rhine-Waal University cafeteria, where the view of the Schwanenburg and the collegiate church is a delight for the senses. Here too there is a lot of information about the city's history and the university as well as a delicious chocolate for the participants.
Special finale
A highlight of the tour is the exclusive visit to the wine cellar of the Schlossbergkellerei Peters. The tour ends there with a tasting of a “wine tonic”, where participants can enjoy the last view of the Schwanenburg.
Participation costs 30 euros per person, which includes drinks and snacks. Registration is required, either online at www.kleve-tourismus.de or by calling the WTM City of Kleve on 02821 84806.
With the combination of breathtaking views and historical insights, the tour challenges the participants' senses in a variety of ways. June 6, 2025 will certainly be an unforgettable day in Kleve.
