The diving gondola in Sellin: An adventure under the Baltic Sea horizon!

The Baltic Sea resort of Sellin on the island of Rügen attracts with its special charm and numerous attractions. At the head of the pier there is a restaurant and docks for excursion boats that take visitors into the picturesque surroundings. Particularly noteworthy is the Baltic Hall, which serves as a romantic wedding venue. Celebrations can also take place in the elegant imperial pavilion and in the idyllic palm garden.

The diving gondola at the end of the pier offers a unique experience. This sinks to a depth of four meters and remains one meter above the seabed. The gondola rides last approximately 30 to 40 minutes and are available all year round, although visibility and seasons affect viewing opportunities. The crew of the diving gondola provides passengers with in-depth knowledge about the flora and fauna of the Baltic Sea and shows, among other things, flounder, eel and jellyfish. In addition, a 3D underwater film about the Baltic Sea and its inhabitants is offered, while another film focuses on the importance of coral reefs. The diving gondola was developed by Andreas Wulff and Volker Miske and is located in Wusterhusen near Greifswald, in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Sellin's wide main beach stretches directly on the pier, while the quiet south beach offers a relaxing alternative. The wooded area of the Granitz with its rolling hills also invites you to take long hikes. The day ticket allows guests to get on and off as they wish along the route.
