Renewed partnership: Feldbergbahnen and Hochschwarzwald Tourismus united!

Feldbergbahnen GmbH and Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH today signed a long-term cooperation aimed at comprehensively promoting the Black Forest holiday region. The new partnership, which has had no formal framework in recent years, is intended not only to improve guest service, but also to make marketing opportunities more efficient for both companies. InsideBW reports that Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH will support the Feldbergbahnen in areas such as marketing and guest service.

A central element of the cooperation is the establishment of a new service center, which will be available to guests seven days a week in the future. This not only improves service, but also supports coordination between the various offers in the region. The previous “Liftverbund Feldberg” will be renamed “Bergbahnen Hochschwarzwald” in order to signal greater awareness and solidarity. This new designation will come into force from the 2025/26 winter season.

Details about the cooperation

The close cooperation between Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH and the Feldbergbahnen aims to ensure a professional presence towards guests, politicians and authorities. The “Bergbahnen Hochschwarzwald” is intended to act as a central platform that pools interests and promotes the development of sustainable, year-round tourism in the Black Forest. This will also strengthen the tourism infrastructure in the region.

Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, which was founded in 2008 and covers 21 towns with around 91,000 inhabitants, records around four million overnight stays every year. Feldbergbahnen GmbH is responsible for operating the Feldberg ski area, which serves several municipalities such as Feldberg, St. Blasien and Todtnau. Currently, 26 partner ski areas belong to the Feldberg lift network, which has a total of 34 kilometers of slopes, equipped with five chairlifts, nine drag lifts and three conveyor belts. Feldberg experience adds that this new cooperation agreement is intended to create additional advantages for guests.

New ski pass and guest offers

Another highlight of the collaboration is the reintegration of the Feldbergbahnen lift operations into the Hochschwarzwald Card, which will offer guests improved offers in both summer and winter. In addition, a new Feldberg adventure ski pass will be introduced at the start of the 2023/2024 winter season, which includes a three-day ticket for card guests at a price of 99 euros. Ski days can be freely chosen within five consecutive days, but some times, such as the high season between December 26th, 2023 and January 7th, 2024 and from February 8th to 18th, 2024, are excluded.

This cooperation between the Feldbergbahnen and Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH marks a significant step in promoting tourism in the popular Black Forest region and at the same time ensures that the quality of stay for guests is continuously improved.
