Art, music and cuisine: The big summer festival Black & White” in Bodenmais!

On Whit Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Altes Rathaus cultural center in Bodenmais invites you to the second art summer festival under the motto “Black & White”. The event, organized by Bodenmais Tourismus und Marketing GmbH, starts at 11 a.m. and lasts until 7 p.m. Admission is free and all generations are welcome.

The festival promises a varied program. The craft market opens at 11 a.m., where eight regional artists will present their works from the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, wooden objects and art creations. The creative workshop at Bodenmais Elementary School will also show its contributions. At the same time, the exhibition “Women in Art” will open in the cultural center with free admission.

Diverse offers for every taste

From 12 p.m., visitors can look forward to the opening of the stands in the courtyard, including the “Black & White” wine bar with carefully selected wines and a stand offering oven-fresh pizza and tarte flambée. The festival continues with musical performances at 2 p.m., when the drum group “SODOWAMMA” delights the guests with Bavarian, African, Waidler and Cuban rhythms.

At 3 p.m. the Red Cross Dancers will perform and show off their line dancing talents. A special highlight is the live art performance by Walter Schreiner and Kalina Svetlinski, which will take place between 4 and 5 p.m. The works created during the performance will be auctioned off to benefit a social project. The crowning conclusion of the festival is the concert by the jazz band “Privat Joker”, which takes place in the garden between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and ensures a great atmosphere with modern jazz sounds.

Dress code and further information

Visitors are invited to follow the “Black & White” dress code and arrive in appropriate outfits. This is intended to underline the motto of the event and contribute to the festive atmosphere. The event is aimed at art lovers, music fans and anyone who wants to have fun.
