Art, music and cuisine: The big summer festival Black & White in Bodenmais!

On Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Altes Rathaus cultural center in Bodenmais invites you to the second art summer festival under the motto "Black & White". The event, organized by Bodenmais Tourismus and Marketing GmbH, begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 7 p.m. Admission is free and all generations are welcome.

The festival promises a varied program. At 11 a.m., the artisan market opens on which eight regional artists present their works from the areas of painting, photography, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, wood objects and art creations. The creative workshop of the Bodenmais primary school will also show your contributions. At the same time, the exhibition “Women in Art” with free admission is opened in the cultural center.

From 12 noon, visitors can look forward to opening the stands in the courtyard, including the "Black & White" wine bar with carefully selected wines and a stand that offers freshly fresh pizza and tarte flambee. The festival continues with musical performances at 2 p.m. The Red Cross Dancers appear at 3 p.m. and show their line dance talents. A special highlight is the live art performance by Walter Schreiner and Kalina Svetlinski, which will take place between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The works created during performance are auctioned in favor of a social project. The crowning glory of the festival is the concert of the jazz band "Privat Joker", which takes place between 5 and 7 p.m. in the garden and creates the best mood with modern jazz sounds.
