Frank Jost will be the new managing director of the Bad Ischl Tourism Association and will focus on sustainable development in the Salzkammergut.

New managing director for Bad Ischl: Frank Jost takes off!
Frank Jost will be the new managing director of the Bad Ischl Tourism Association from mid-June 2025 and will take on the role of adventure space manager in the Bad Ischl adventure region. The 50-year-old, who studied tourism with a focus on destination management at Kempten University (Allgäu), has many years of experience in destination management. He most recently worked as tourism director in Oberstdorf (Allgäu) and was particularly committed to the sustainable development of tourism there. This is a central concern that he would also like to pursue in Bad Ischl. Salzkammergut panoramic view reports that Jost is looking forward to his new position with great anticipation.
Jost succeeds Jakob Reitinger, who is moving to Regensburg Tourismus GmbH after almost four years in Bad Ischl. The Bad Ischl Tourism Association would like to expressly thank Reitinger for his commitment and wishes him much success on his new path. Sustainable development in focus
In his previous role in Oberstdorf, Jost dedicated himself intensively to the sustainable development of the adventure and holiday area. He would now like to continue this commitment in Bad Ischl. He expressed his intention to spend the first few weeks primarily getting to know the organization, his team and the stakeholders, as well as gaining deeper insights into ongoing projects. These steps are intended to help him develop tailored strategies for the region.
Through his experiences and the desire for sustainable tourism development, Jost could have a positive influence on the attractiveness of Bad Ischl and the entire Salzkammergut. His vision and strategic approach could provide new impetus to make the region even more interesting for tourists.
