New managing director for Bad Ischl: Frank Jost starts!

Frank Jost will become the new managing director of the Bad Ischl tourism association from mid -June 2025 and takes on the role of the experience space manager in the Bad Ischl. The 50-year-old, who studied tourism with a focus on destination management at the Kempten University (Allgäu), has many years of experience in destination management. Most recently, he worked as a tourism director in Oberstdorf (Allgäu) and was particularly committed there for a sustainable development of tourism. This is a central concern that he also wants to pursue in Bad Ischl. Salzkammergut Rundblick reports that Jost would expect his new item with great anticipation.

Jost succeeds Jakob Reitinger, who moves to Regensburg Tourismus GmbH in Bad Ischl after almost four years. The Bad Ischl tourism association expressly thanks Reitinger for his commitment and wishes him every success on his new path. According to my district was unanimously selected by the supervisory board after he had passed a multi-stage selection process.

sustainable development in focus

In his previous function in Oberstdorf, Jost devoted intensively to the sustainable development of the experience and vacation room. He now wants to continue this commitment in Bad Ischl. He intended to get to know the organization, his team and the stakeholders in the first few weeks and to get deeper insights into ongoing projects. These steps are intended to help him develop tailor-made strategies for the region.

Through his experiences and the desire for sustainable tourism development, Jost could have a positive impact on the attractiveness of Bad Ischl and the entire Salzkammergut. His vision and strategic approach could give new impulses to make the region even more interesting for tourists.
